Only one beer being served and that one, Tribute, didn't taste particularly fresh. Nice enough pub and reasonably friendly welcome but we won't be rushing to return. Is it too small and with not enough customers to keep fresh beer?

I like this pub, the food is always good, the beer well kept although by having 2 similar I think the new landlord is missing a trick. I've always found someone to chat with in the bar which it seemed is mainly used by folk living locally. Parking is not easy though.

Dropped in last weekend not knowing what to expect but really pleased to see this lovely Dartmoor pub back to its best. Matt, Shona & Tanya have tastefully redecorated and reopened areas that had been shut down. Place is more cossey and airy. Food back to its best. Still situated in the beautiful River Teign valley which is a minutes... More

Closed! Management reverted back to previous owner. They were not able to honor our reservation. No message to us regarding the change in circumstances. Hopefully their work will reopen this inn. The road to Sandy Park is worse than very narrow! Use extreme caution.

We almost drove past while we were looking for somewhere for a quick bite to eat for lunch. I'm so glad we didn't! Despite arriving after the end of lunch service, the owner (I think) offered to make us a couple of panini. They were just perfect. A lovely beer and a gin fizz - try one! And a really... More

We were here for a whole week! Every day felt as home with a very heart-full welcome by Julie and Ray. After a long day walking in the more than beautiful part of Devon, we enjoyed coming back in the Pub, where the fire was burning and the locals enjoying their very nice ales en lagers. Great compliment to Julie... More

We just stopped passing by but had a delightful time at this excellent place. The hosts were extremely friendly and the Jail Ale was exquisite. Couldn't resist the crab sandwich: moist granary bread stuffed with the freshest crab meat. Shame we didn't have time for more.

This was a random stop looking for dinner one evening. We popped into a couple of pubs but nothing looked very appetising to two vegetarians, then we stopped at the Sandy Park Inn. We were warmly welcomed straight away and got to enjoy an hour of being part of the local community while being served huge portions of delicious food.... More

What a great evening we had in this traditional Dartmoor pub. The food was amazing, the locals are welcoming and friendly and Ray and Julie are excellent hosts. The bedroom was immaculate and we have both never slept to well in a long time. We wish you both the very best and we will most certainly be back as we... More
