Enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. The food was superb - I haven't eaten such tasty fish in a restaurant before - advertised as straight from the sea and certainly tasted like it. The decor, ambiance and friendly staff added to our enjoyment and the evening was rounded off with a well researched and delivered quiz. Try this venue.

Our first taste of the three crowns super friendly service was in the car park, yes it is small, so we were helped with directions to the village car park and helped out with change, whilst hubby was parking the car I was helped to the room with the bags. Nothing is too much trouble attitude has been prevalent thru... More

Sadly we can't comment on the food here as we weren't offered a table. We were told that the restaurant was too busy despite there being plenty of free, unreserved tables available (we would have been more than happy to wait a long time for food if the expected service time had been explained). Disappointing service but still, it's great... More

The hotel building was really beautiful and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. However, the cheerful, accommodating and exceptionally positive staff set this inn apart. Every time we spoke to any of them, they went out of their way to meet all our needs. Also the food was delicious - both the restaurant and the included breakfast. Charming!

We stayed here for two nights and had a really enjoyable stay. Lovely village. Rooms really pucker and the general feel about the place was really relaxed and welcoming.... It's a mixture of old come new with the original building and traditional decor plus the addition of the new glass room at the back with an outer courtyard, which is... More

Very nice hotel with very pleasant helpful staff. We stayed here for three nights. We were advised to book a table in the restaurant for dinner in advance as they get very busy. We looked at the sample menus on their own website which gave a bar menu and a different menu for the dining room. As we do not... More

It was our intention to stay here in early July and we popped in for a drink the day before to checkout our destination which was just as well for it became apparent that the wifi service here was almost non-existant and because we needed it for business reasons we had to cancel which was a shame as the hotel... The bed was comfortable and the courtyard was lovely for eating outside. The room looked very nice. There are not enough surfaces to put things on in either the bedroom or bathroom, with the desk being very narrow as well. Wifi is VERY slow. Service in the restaurant was at times also very slow. We booked an afternoon tea as... More

The local tea shop had sold out of scones, so 4 of us went a few paces further to the Three Crowns where we were royally welcomed, seated and served with our cream tea experience - and it proved to be an excellent/fortuitous decision. A choice of teas was offered with our scones, Devon clotted cream and jam, which we... More
