No words can truly do this place justice unless you go and experience it yourself. The building is stunning, as are the grounds, immaculately looked after and they are a delight to walk around and admire. The hotel is as grand as we imagined, traditional, classic and luxurious. Our room was fantastic, a roll top bath, the biggest walk in... More

Having already stayed at two of this group's hotels, we knew that Gidleigh Park would be a treat but it greatly exceeded our expectations. The location and position of this hotel make it special from the start and the extensive gardens and grounds, all beautifully maintained, are a delightt. All staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. There was... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while on a short break in Devon during July 2016. The whole experience was entirely positive. Yes, it was expensive, and we spent about two-thirds as much in two days as we normally do in a week's holiday. But Gideligh Park is truly memorable, and we very much look forward to... More

A fantastic place with great walks, amazing food and a gracious and very helpful staff. The Chef is among the best and most creative we have experienced. The setting is truly relaxing and room was delightful.

My wife and I originally booked to stay for 2 nights in September 2015. Unfortunately we had to cancel and re-booked for July 2016. All I can say is it was well worth the wait! A beautiful location and building, helpful and extremely friendly service, and exceptional food made it a truly wonderful experience. Our room, a deluxe garden view... More

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing venue and facilities An early super is available for children and we had a babysitter booked whilst we dined later We all felt welcome and the kids enjoyed having a run around the gardens / playing croquet / on the putting green Lovely breakfast, free wifi and bizarrely good mobile reception The only possible negative... I booked this only 2 days before arriving. Was very impressed with check in and politeness of staff. Our room was perfect. It didn't over look the gardens as a lot of them do but it was a complimentary upgrade from classic so I wasn't about to complain. The novelty of having our own sauna was fab :) We booked... More

We have been here a few times now but were keen to experience dinner with the new chef. Personally, this time was my best dinner experience at this hotel. Seems a little less stuffy than before and food was exceptional. I would definitely return. We stayed the night and were in a lovely dog friendly room with large balcony. If... More

Was a great dinner, everything was tasty, suave, elegant and beautiful. Small portion, we have chosen for the ten courses, was not too much. Service was really good and lovely. The wine list was also impressive, we had a white Chablis and a red from pirineus, I recommend .
