My company booked our small team into Greenbank for a two night stay whilst working away from home. Firstly we had a wonderful welcome. We were made to feel like part of the family. Surrounded by lovely people, cuddly dogs , ( ivy the whippet my favorite and Flo the spaniel just about to have pups, we missed the puppies... More

Firstly, the countryside is so beautiful! Greenbank is situated just outside the village and is surrounded by the moors. It is a very quiet place, apart from the sounds of sheep bleating, chickens clucking and birds singing. The cottage itself is very homely and welcoming. If certain irritating laws about possession were not in place Fru and Peter would be... More

Greenbank is on a hill on the way out of Chagford, a large 1900's house filled with period furniture and family life. You are welcomed by Fru & Peter and their menagerie as true guests of their house. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, peace and quiet and charming hosts. A modern boutique style b&b this is not, delightful and unique it... More

I stayed two nights at Greenbank as part of a Knitting retreat with Women With Wool . On arrival I was made to feel welcome by Peter and Fru and a posse of dogs , two of whom live in and one who was boarding . There is also a cat and and Egg the parrot . The room was... More

Wonderful welcome, superb breakfast and splendid bedrooms with associated offices (bathrooms and dining room for breakfast). Comfortable, interesting and so very relaxing. Proper linen and mattresses to sink into, decanters on bedside tables, butter and jam at breakfast with homemade bread. We will return as soon as time allows and can't wait to meet with Fru and Peter again. Simply... More

We have just come back from a lovely relaxing stay with the very welcoming Fru & Peter and we wish we could have stayed longer. It is such a laid back characterful country house in a gorgeous location, we loved meeting Egg the African Grey Parrott, skunk the cat and the 2 very friendly dogs, this is definitely a place... Nicest Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed in - I can't think of a single fault. The location is amazing, the breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms and the general facilities are lovely and the whole place has lots of character. The animals are friendly and the swings in the garden are very cool! Will definitely recommend it to others and... More

Greenbank is exactly the sort of place that I dream of staying in when in the countryside. In fact, it is the sort of home that I dream of creating for myself one day. Character abounds the property, the owners are charming, our bed was extraordinarily comfortable, the linen superb, the shower large and the location conveniently on the edge... More

Good country house, relaxed and welcoming. However rooms smaller than expected for the price-cramped not much room for luggage. Breakfast average, shoddy seating, animals everywhere. No housekeeping-cleaning or change of sheets or vaccuming even though we were there several days!

What an utterly charming place. To wake up to Egg chatting away, the sound of chickens, the utter peace and absolutely wonderful hosts. I could not have asked for better. Just a great pity we could have stayed longer, but we were on a strict schedule. I will be back most definitely sometime in the future. Maggi & John (Australia)
