The staff were very friendly, they didn't mind having the family dog in the bedroom, the room we stayed in was lovely with nice scenic countryside views and the breakfasts were really lovely in the restaurant

My friend and I (both in our 20s) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Our twin room was just the right size for us and had everything we needed to get ready for a wedding we attended down the road. The building is old which makes it feel very cosy and homely. The owners couldn't have made us feel... More

We booked last minute, and there was not a lot of choice, as busy time of year, so we were really pleased to find Furzeleigh Mill was such a lovely small country hotel with excellent staff, comfy beds, gorgeous breakfasts. All this and extremely pretty views from the front facing bedrooms. There is a restaurant on site, and the cooked... More

This was a last minute find, and was a good one. Furzeleigh is a pleasant middle range hotel, staffed by very nice people. I had a 'compact double room' just for me, and it was of quite a reasonable size. The really compact bit was the shower and Loo cupboard...a bit of a squeeze but quite adequate for one person.... A basic hotel which for the price exceeded expectation. Very friendly staff. The entire hotel was very clean and the service was good. Parking was easy and the location just off the A38 at Buckfastleigh was very convenient. Pleasant garden, which was the view from our room number 4. Dinner was of a reasonable standard and the full English breakfast... More

The Furzeleigh Mill Country House was a lovely place to stay for a few days while visiting South Devon. It was easy to access from the A38 and just located outside Buckfastleigh and overlooked the countryside. The room was a good size, the staff were very warm and friendly and the food was good.

We pre ordered our requirements and were met by the Bar Lady who was very pleasant and when all members had arrived we moved into the Restaurant which was laid out in two tables to accommodate 20 of us. The meal was absolutely delightful and the staff could not have been better. They catered for our every needs including accommodating... More

Beautiful surroundings, wonderful Magnolia tree! Very nice, welcoming agreeable staff. Wonderful Chef in the kitchen. The breakfast was also superb and very generous. Unusually very good coffee. We planned to go into Ashburton in the evening for dinner, but the hotel had wonderful really fresh on the menu - so no need to leave hotel.

Visited Furzeleigh Mill last night for a meal with our club. Have often wondered what this place was like as I have ventured up and down the A38 over the years and now I know........ The bar space was a bit uninspiring and small but the lady behind the bar was lovely and sorted us out with drinks. There were... More
