We booked in for a lunch at the Dartbridge having visited last for Mothers Day 2016. At that time the Inn had been recently refurbished and we had a great meal. Today we were amazed that the place still had that refurbished feel I.e. Very clean, contemporary and a great lunchtime atmosphere. We had booked into the restaurant area rather...

Unfortunately I also stayed at the Dartbridge Inn in November 2016 and can only echo some of the poor reviews below. On arrival the lady running the bar had to find a manager to check us in leaving the bar un-managed, surely he should have been contactable by phone?? On our first night my wife ordered salmon only to be...

We stopped off here for lunch on our way down to Devon before Xmas and had a great lunch for our family of four for reasonable prices, cheerfully served. It's a very beautiful place situated just off the A38.

The quality of food and amazing selection is something to behold! I rarely go to a pub for food that the veggie selection is so expansive. Aside from this, the environment is welcoming and, even for such a large establishment, cosy in the way it's set out. Portion sizes are great as you can chose a smaller portion of some...

OK for the money. Hotel rooms clean and comfortable. Pub is nice. Downside was when we went down for our breakfast. Had to wait over an hour for it to arrive. No explanation or apology was forthcoming from staff. There were only a few other people having breakfast so bit wasn't even busy. Would not stay again simply due to...

Needed to stay overnight in the area and chose the Dartbridge Inn. I found it clean, welcoming, reasonably priced, very convenient from the A38 Devon Expressway. One slight problem with the room was attended to promptly and efficiently; the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delicious, the beer (cask-conditined of course) reasonably priced and a good selection...

We went for a meal as we were on our way home. We had been before and enjoyed our food. We ordered at the bar and waited for our food. It wasn't busy but after 50 minutes I asked where the food was. The waitress said she would look after she finished with her present order. She then turned up...

So good to see Kiren back. We had to go elsewhere because the tables were never cleared and the beer was flat. What a difference he personally makes. The staff are so different and welcoming, Great atmosphere - just where one wants to be to enjoy jovial communications combined with good beer and food. Thank you Green King for the...

The over flowing ashtray at the main entrance should have been a warning sign. Ordered breakfast for two. Cutlery came in a pot with old croutons in the bottom -Warning number two. Restaurant was cold & radiators were freezing- warning number three. Breakfast arrived which looked well presented but no toast. That didn't arrive until we had eaten our breakfast!...

We stayed two nights in early November and would certainly return to this clean, well placed and cosy venue. It looks as though there has been some refurbishment recently, but a pleasant character remains with well chosen decor, an open fire and a definitive structure to the downstairs public area - a restaurant area, a bar area and a proper...
