The location/setting of the lodges around the lake could not be faulted and Kings Lodge probably has the prime location . The photograph advertising the lodge is a bit misleading as it leads you to believe there is nothing in the vicinity but whilst there is nothing to the right the other lodges are in a semi-circle to the left... The lodge was well equipped with everything you could ask for. Set in a quiet location 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of Bovey Tracey. A great base to take trips around Dartmoor or down to the coast to Torquay. There is plenty of privacy and we felt like we had the lake to ourselves. The lodge was clean, the... More

Only visit here if you would enjoy :- Being in a crystal clear well maintained hot tub, and watching the squirrels run about in the trees over head or the early bird getting its worm Watching the heron, from the kitchen window, have his breakfast on one of the large fish in lake Opening the front door to a friendly... We stayed in Lodge 1 (Oke lodge) and was everything that we expected when we first booked Indio lake. Located on the edge of Bovey Tracey village yet so peaceful and relaxing, the lodges are right on the edge of the lake and overall deserves the 5* rating. Inside the lodge was stunning and hot tub situated just outside the... More

Me and my partner booked lodge number two for three nights. Amazing. Very big and spacious. Decor is modern yet homely! Had robes and slippers on the bed, milk, wine, and orange juice in the fridge, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher. It's just a beautiful stay! Lovely nature all around you a and a private hot tub and garden! Highly... More

I have already reviewed this property after a long weekend break last year, but have just returned from our second visit, and have already booked the third. This is less of a review and more of an addenda to the last one. The site has had a change of booking agent / management company since our last stay and the... More

My partner and I have just come back from Indio Lakes, lovely and peaceful. We stayed in Lodge 2, interior furnishings lovely, very comfortable bed, sofas not that comfortable. The hot tub was private and very clean, set out on the decking under a canopy of beech trees, great in the rain. Feeding the ducks every morning and evening was... More

If like me you were attracted to these lodges by the promise of fishing on your doorstop please read on. The main lake has an average depth in the winter of about 2 foot. During my visit in July 2015 the water level had dropped down to about less than 1 foot. This in not an exaggeration, the only possible... More
