We took advantage of one of the deals on offer and stayed in a suite. The room was not as spacious as I would imagine a suite to be, but still very comfortable and stunning views. The food was excellent and all the staff were friendly and courteous. The whole hotel, but especially the restaurant felt very secure and I was very comfortable eating there. I did feel that the room lacked all the little luxuries I would normally expect from this standard of hotel. The tea and coffee selection was very basic, I would have expected ground coffee or a coffee machine, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. I understand that COVID has had a big impact on what can be put in guest rooms and when I asked for peppermint tea it was quickly provided, thank you. I also missed the extra toiletries which I have come to expect from this standard of hotel. I will look forward to visiting again, if and when we ever get back to pre COVID normality.

A delightful comfortable hotel in private picturesque situation. Service was slightly curtailed by Covid 19 rules but we felt very safe and would thoroughly recommend a visit once rules allow again. Delicious high quality food with menu offering a special every evening so no need to always choose off the regular menu.

Night before lockdown part 2 and you could not fault any aspect of our stay. We had a half tea, which was huge and ready for us upon arrival. Spa was lovely (second time visiting the spa) massages and facilities are perfect. Evening meal was 5 star, and service was exceptional. I did expect a limited menu due to the impending lockdown but that was not the case at all. Found everything very traditional, staff dressed smartly which is often missed in other establishments in favour of 'fashionable attire' we thought the service and effort was really welcoming and far superior to other places that we have stayed. Everything is very well thought out and timings are just right and all staff we met were very attentive. We liked our room and the tea and coffee was well stocked and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and service continued to be of a very high standard. Can't wait to re book the same overnight spa, dinner bed and breakfast deal!

What a lovely 3 nights we had for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in this superbly run little hotel. Our suite was comfortable, roomy and with a great view over the gardens. Being well hidden away from the road in such lovely grounds, made it a very peaceful and quiet place to stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Requests regarding room service were prompt and efficient. They kindly decorated our dining table for our anniversary. The highlight was certainly the evening dining, which was exceptional in every way - the food was superb and service impeccable. It was very refreshing to have young staff so polite and well mannered - such a shame we couldn't see their (hopefully) smiley faces behind the masks! We felt very secure with the Covid restrictions that were in place, and they were very well adhered to. It would be lovely to return in more normal times when the atmosphere is more relaxed and natural. We certainly had an anniversary to remember!

We booked a 3 night stay at Northcote Manor from 25 Oct and stayed in the Wisteria Suite (a total surprise to me from my Husband). This was our first visit and will definitely not be our last ... if you want escapism, total relaxation and to destress and unwind, then this is the place for you. Our suite was absolutely gorgeous with the most breathtaking views from our first floor room overlooking the fields. We had a large bed, leather sofa, desk, Flat Screen TV and a coffee table along with beautiful drape curtains ... it was so oldy world, just what you would expect from a Manor House. The bathroom was immaculate and had a large white bath, walk in shower (with pumped fed system) so water pressure was fab! We requested white fluffy bathrobes which were lovely and the bathroom was stocked with white fluffy large towels. Nothing was ever too much trouble, we wanted more feather pillows, no problem, within 2 minutes a knock at the door! Anything you require is just literally a phone call away and if the staff can accommodate, then they will deliver. We fell in love with this place within seconds of being there. The place has a wonderful ambience and nothing is too much trouble. Simon, the Manager at Northcote is great and just so polite with a great sense of humour added into the mix. You can tell he is a great Manager, just by the pleasantness of his staff and their politeness, everyone seemed to get on and there was lots of laughter which was lovely amongst the staff. We felt totally safe with regards to COVID and again, Simon and his team have done a sterling job at achieving this. A thank you also to Chris, a younger member of the dining team who demonstrated the most impeccable manners and politeness at dinner. Something that I have found is rare at hotel establishments with the younger generation, so this is why Northcote is a cut above the rest! As Northcote is far away from the road (we timed it from turning into the hotel drive from the road to entering the Manor House itself... took just over two minutes drive), you really are away from it all! We heard no-one except the lovely dining staff delivering our breakfast each morning to our room. Just make sure you enter the postcode in your satnav that the hotel provide with your booking and you will find Northcote straight away! The food was just exquisite ... we have dined at many restaurants with Michelin starred chefs, but this food was in another stratosphere ... absolutely delicious! For an additional supplement I believe you can have additional courses with an accompanying wine flight, but we were very happy with our four courses, although probably more than four courses by the time we had canapés and sweet biscuits with coffee! We loved the whole dining experience here so much and sat down for dinner at 6.30pm and stayed for most of the evening, each course was such a delight! We then retired to the lounge to soak up the atmosphere ... It was such a peaceful stay that when we left, we felt totally recharged! We will most definitely return as I said at the beginning of this review!
