So yes the staff were friendly. Yes the location is good. Yes the car park is a hike away ...... But really I felt like I was in a 1950's comedy show. The rooms were hilariously bad for £130 per night. Not quirky. Just not quite right. So if this is the no 1 hotel in Brixham well...perhaps try Torquay... More

This should really be a 2.5 but it doesn't get to a 3 due to the price of what was really a shabby and only superficially clean room. Room 27, not too bad a size considering it's an old property and we did have a good sized bathroom. It was quiet and the staff were all friendly. We were able... More

The car park is a bit of an uphill trek but as we weren't going anywhere it wasn't a problem, the Hotel itself couldn't of been in a better location for our stay with a great view as soon as you walk out of the front doors, our room was up and down little steps and corridors which made it... More

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights in a sew view snug twin room which was well equipped, clean and very nicely decorated with local views and well co-ordinated pictures and bedding. The view over the harbour was fantastic and our first floor room was spiked to prevent seagulls landing on the ledge. Not a criticism, but a well... More

We stayed in the family room, 2 adults and 2 children (aged 12 and 4). Friendly greeting and were assisted with bags to our room. The room itself was up several flights of stairs, but this wasn't a problem for us, but other families may need to bear this in mind if there are any mobility issues. The decor of... More

It is listed as the #1 Hotel in Brixham on TA we don't understand why. Hotel is in need of a substantial refit. Room was clean but decoration in need of updating, should have been done five years ago. Car park is perhaps 5 minute walk away if you are less mobile and up a hill. Also reception staff were... We only stayed for one night on a Sunday in August but found the hotel to be very nice. The entrance and hallways are a bit of a maze, but the room we had was a great size, well decorated, with a really clean, good-sized bathroom and even some additional space by way of a shared patio area. There was... More

We paid £140 per night for a sea view double room (Room 3). The room was very small and in need of refurbishment. The room was drab and stuffy with creaking floorboards and old brown carpet. We could not sleep due to noise from bar next door ,drunken guests in the bar of the hotel, which continued until after 1.00... More

Having fond memories from a stay at Quayside Hotel nineteen years ago, when I stayed in one of the ‘luxury sea-view rooms’, I decided to return, along with my friend for whom it was a first time visit to Brixham. Whilst we did have an enjoyable two night stay, I felt that the place is now looking tatty round the... More

Stayed in room 26 overlooking the harbour for four nights. Very comfortable room with fantastic views. Really good choice of food at breakfast and for an extra £30 per night we could have a three course meal for two in the evening-fantastic value for money! Can recommend the squid and mussels as starters, we also enjoyed the duo of lamb... More
