Stayed last week on a bit of a last minute booking which could explain why it was so expensive for a very basic hotel. It was OK but I am sure there are better places in Brixham. Room was clean and had a good view over the harbour but with one of those partitioned bathrooms with a stiff sliding door.... More

I booked this hotel as a short weekend break with my two step children and partner and I wasn't all that impressed. The room we received had an uncomfortable double bed and a very small folded out sofa bed for the two children to share which obviously caused bickering between them. It was so hot in there even with windows... More

This is a really nice hotel. It is set up on the hill so it might be a challenge for less mobile people, but it is well worth it. The views are lovely and it is a short and easy walk into town. The town is delightful and much more so after 6 pm when the tourists leave. The room... More

We stayed there for a weeks vacation, using the hotel as a base to visit other places in South Devon. The Hotel staff were very happy to help with everything that you wanted and could advise how to get to places. The menu in the restaurant was fish based, but all of the meals were exceptionally well cooked and a... More

Great location overlooking the harbour, room very nice, bathroom excellent - looked recently updated, bed very comfy, great views across harbour from our room and from the restaurant. Breakfast very good, plenty of choice - cold buffet and cooked breakfast. A real advantage having a carpark - 5 mins up the road

The welcome we got on arrival was very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. Check in was extremely quick. The room was a little dated but the view was wonderful overlooking the harbour. The room was probably slightly overpriced for what it was but the view makes it worth it. Found a used tissue behind the bedside drawers... More

Stayed at here for four nights, arriving on the Saturday of Brixfest. The hotel is in a good location with the town and restaurants being just a short walk away, as is the parking. The quayside is not a manufactured, modern, mundane hotel. It has character in the buildings - real polished wood with narrow staircases serving multiple levels -... More

Loved our stay. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely not greasy. Was a bit of a walk up to carpark but you can drop bags off at the door. We had sm twin room at front, just right size. Shower in need of regrouting looks a bit grubby but is clean. Definitely would stay again

Had been to Brixham for many, many years, so decided to take a trip down memory lane. I was not disappointed. The hotel overlooks the beautiful harbour that is steeped in history and tradition. The Quayside Hotel is charming. The car park is approx. 350 metres away. Totally safe and free. The welcome is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay in room 9. We are a little puzzled why we only received one star, maybe this was an error ? Looking forward to welcoming you back to Brixham in the future. Best wishes Vicky More

Wonderful hotel, great location. Rooms are clean and tidy but the whole place needs modernising. Wifi was good and accessible in all areas. All members of staff we met were pleasant and professional. Car park is located 500 yards away from hotel which is not great but manageable.
