I missed my bus from work and decided to try a drink in here. I'm glad I did as it was such a great clean pub , and the chilli ginger cider I had so nice. Will try here again on a proper night out, as the staff were all very polite and the pub well run.

We enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal here last month whilst on holiday, the food was superb, absolutely beautifully presented and delicious, ambience was also great. The downside was that we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive after ordering it - no idea why as it was not at all busy in the restaurant the evening we were... More

Went there for a 2 course lunch using a zoo travel voucher. The service was excellent by a very friendly waitress, although the dinning room was not very busy. There was a jug of water already on the table waiting for us, and a plate of very tasty and very fresh bread with some oil was served before the starter... More

Lovely place to spend a week working away. Really friendly chatty staff, felt extremely welcome. Amazing food and a good selection of local beers and ciders. Newly decorated bright comfortable rooms. Will stay again when I'm in the area. Car parking is across the road.

Based on our experience with OHH we had high expectations for our stay in Braunton but were very disappointed. First the good points: Adam (Manager) and staff, courteous and helpful; public areas and room well decorated; food of a good standard. Less favourable: 1. There is no dedicated parking, the facility is a public car park with no reserved spaces;... More

They had had an unexpected really busy breakfast run, (used crocks etc on table toward back), but despite this Christina was very friendly, cheerful, efficient and kept on apologising for the disarray . She was working as fast as she could. We had the light Sunday roast which excellent. The beef was thickly sliced, pink and succulent, vege etc perfectly... More

Excellent service. A jug of water and complementary bread with oil was delivered to our table while waiting for our starters. I had the hoisin belly pork wraps, my husband ordered the tempura prawns and our friends both had soup of the day. Everyone enjoyed their starters. Our main course arrived promptly on properly warmed plates. My husband had the... More

We visited the George for the first time since its recent make over at about 3.30 looking for a late lunch. No problem, all menus were available. Only half a dozen customers in at this time so the bar was single staffed and I expect the kitchen was too. Not surprisingly this made the service a little slow but the... More

We have been in the George a few times for a drink since its been taken over and have always received great service and a friendly atmosphere. As our friends were down we booked in for dinner Saturday night, the place was busy, but still the staff provided great service. The food was excellent, it took us ages to decide... More
