We love the self catering accommodation at Long Cottage (though we miss Karine's splendid breakfasts!) The two double bedrooms are peaceful, comfortable and well appointed, and there is a large living room with TV, wifi, books and games for a wet day, though we did not need them this time. We were warmly welcomed. Long Cottage is a great base... More

We've stayed here a number of times and always been very well looked after. The beds are super comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. Simon and Karine are very welcoming and friendly. They even have a dog called Elvis.

This is now a self catering cottage, and is perfect in every way. Located in a quiet tranquil spot, but only a few miles from some great pubs, and a short drive from Croyde Bay and Baggy Point. The owners, Simon and Karine, are the perfect hosts, very helpful but no intrusive. Simon has lived in the area most of... More

Our second stay at this comfortable, well appointed and welcoming venue. We enjoyed it even more knowing what to expect. Surfing, cliff walks, plenty of places to visit, rounded off by a day trip to Lundy Island gave us a refreshing and memorable holiday. Many thanks. Helen.

We were so pleased with our first stay at Long Cottage - beautifully and peacefully secluded but within easy reach of many lovely beaches, cliff walks and good eating places. We were provided with clear helpful directions to the best destinations through local lanes. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who gave us a lovely welcome and delicious... More

It's tucked away amongst the farmland of North Devon. But that is part of its beauty. A gem of a cottage with a garden that clearly gets some attention. The cosy downstairs is bettered by the bright and spacious upstairs. Skylit corridors connecting warm and clean bedrooms. As a family we loved it all, and although it's a drive away... More

We stayed at Long Cottage for 5 nights in May, and were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the place. We opted not to stay B&B, just rented the cottage. I can't stress the quality of the accommodation, the furnishings are tasteful, with a nod to the rustic - exposed floorboards on the ground floor, small log burner,... More

We found Long Cottage on Trip Advisor last year and, seeing the great reviews, took the plunge and booked for the first week of the school’s summer holiday 2012. The accommodation surpassed our high expectations. The cottage is spacious and extremely well finished. The owners, Carine and Simon, who live in the adjacent cottage, were extremely helpful but not intrusive.... More

My girlfriend and I just returned from our second weekend at Long Cottage in as many weeks which probably says it all. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious with en suite facilities, the common area is dangerously comfortable with a wood burner that throws off some serious heat - perfect for when you need to warm up post-surf -...
