My husband and I enjoyed an amazing lunch for my birthday last week. The quality and presentation of the food was absolutely amazing, executed by Andrew Baird, we dined from the set three course Garden Menu, which provided an extensive choice and included a glass of Pimms on arrival. All of the staff are extremely friendly and most welcoming and a special thank you to Pedro the lovely general manager who made our day very memorable, we shall be back soon and of course will highly recommend to my friends

We spent a week at this nice hotel. Our room was facing the garden and was very comfortable! Top service. A good breakfast buffet. A nice spacious garden. From here you can take a walk up in the park/woods. Everything is aimed at satisfying the customers.

As always the hotel lived up to it's reputation both for friendliness and quality of the service and food. The staff could not have done enough for us and the official birthday dinner was staggering. In due course will be back for our fourth visit.

A Place Where Hospitality Is Defined: Superlatives In Bold and Underlined We were searching for a trip to the Channel Islands from London. I was intrigued after a movie showcasing Guernsey’s history of occupation during WWII introduced the idea and it stuck. Turns out flying from London to Guernsey is not as frequent or convenient especially on a Bank Holiday weekend in May that we’d chosen to travel. Would you ever imagine that the Airline industry would facilitate, indirectly, your redirection to an amazing vacation? Because that’s what happened for us! I searched far and wide for options to fly ANYWHERE from London for 5 nights during the Bank Holiday that allowed us to get there early and maximize our time and minimize the flight cost. No easy task. From Guernsey to Bilbos to Faro to Bordeaux to Ibiza I struck out. Terrible Flight times & Horrible Flight Prices. And Then......JERSEY. Ample flight from Gatwick and reasonably priced fares and availability prompted me to do some searching of what Jersey had to offer. What I found was an enticing mix of Michelin Starred Restaurants to tickle our foodie needs; plenty of history regarding WWII and the German occupation, a Zoo founded by Gerry Durrell from “The Durrell’s in Corfu” BBC show. only about 45 square miles in total to explore PLUS a Relais & Chateaux Manor to consider as our place to stay. I checked availability and there was ample space available so a quick consult with the better brain of our couple and She agreed. Airline tickets secured and next up ....where to stay. You don’t need to go any further then this review to make your decision. It’s Loungeville Manor and Spa.....period. Underline that. Put the font size up to 42. Hit BOLD. Email it to yourself under the title...Not to be Missed. I’ve frequented many Relais & Chateaux properties over the past 30 years and had started to have some doubts. Not anymore. Poof! Gone! If Loungeville Manor and it’s owners ( who sit on the Relais & Chateaux regional board and if Pedro Bento, the Managing Director at Loungeville.....who exudes Hospitality and instills an immediate and genuine feeling of “Welcome” throughout the space and for every moment of our five nights there.....Well, if this stunning example of a Relais & Chateaux experience is the set bar then I’ll be retaining my 5c Relais Status or whatever they have to offer in the future! Our Package was comprehensive and included a car rental awaiting us at the Jersey Airport, five nights in a lovely Manor Room with a walkout to a small patio. The room color was a butterscotch cream, soothing whether bathed in morning light or the fade of the afternoon. The living area and bed were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom large and well appointed. It was ageless and understated and encouraged settling in as if it was our own country estate.the package also included breakfast every morning both the buffet and a prepared menu. And then the restaurant. Four meals were included out of our five nights. Three courses off of the House menu with an option to consider either the chefs tasting menu or the Ala Carte menu for an additional supplement. Superb! Marvelous! Pray for Rain or like us, prefer to have your extra cocktail or bottle of wine with dinner and safely walk back to your room because you’ll never be disappointed here! The staff, the design, the small touches, the gardens, the grounds, the wine room, the interplay of the old Manor from the 14th or 15th Century and the new additions are all part of a seamless experience that will refresh and alter forever your idea of Hospitality & Vacationing. Well Done Pedro and Thank You!

I went back to visit Jersey in June 2018 having worked as a nurse there 30 years ago! I booked again for June 2019 too! Our experience at this hotel was 5 star for sure. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa visit but above all the warm welcome and treatment we received from the hotel manager Pedro. We went for lunch there after our treatments and I was so impressed by his lovely manner. I found it hard to believe that he is there so long as he has such a fresh enthusiastic attitude. He's an absolute asset to the hotel and an absolute pleasure to meet. The epitome of a gentleman and effortlessly nice. Aileen Byrne Dublin
