Have just come back (23/9/21) having stayed 5nights at this hotel, and agree with Helen_Newport, that the staff at this hotel cannot do enough for you, and that the room was always spotless/clean &'tidy. After reading a few review's a couple of weeks prior to coming out, I was inclined to change hotels (& did in fact try to, - everywhere was full), but in the end stayed put. Yes, the hotel is one of Jersey's oldest, and yes, it closes for good end of October, and yes, there is lots of stairs up to the rooms (my main concern for my elderly mother having to walk up/down as many to room55), but glad we did NOT Change as it was one of the most friendly, charming hotels we have stayed in. There is a small pool at the back, (a nice little sun trap on the afternoon for a quick dip!), and a small bar and lounge area, buffet breakfast with lots of choices. Not far from the centre (a 15min stroll,) and 4min stroll to the promenade the other way. If you are staying here in the next few weeks, I can honestly say, that you will not find a hotel with a more friendly /helpful staff, despite it closing; they are helping you, - help them in their last few weeks.!😎

After reading updated reviews on here I wondered if I had booked the right place. No lift, tired and rundown, in need of upgrade and more. What we found was a spotless hotel with the most courteous and friendly staff who can't do enough for you despite the fact that at the end of October the hotel closes for good and they are all going to be out of work. We had a problem with our shower and reported it...room changed. Our towels were changed daily and the room was a comfortable size. Bathroom was small but did the job. Yes it is run down, yes it has it's problems but it is still a lovely place to stay.

We’ve returned to The Revere for a 6 night break with Channel Escapes, it’s our last day today. We love the windy corridors, the thick stone walls the amazing history behind the beams. The Revere is in a great location, cheap parking just a few minutes away and the beach is very close. There are some fabulous restaurants in the same road, the hotel has a bistro that serves the best lobster. Staff are beyond helpful, always friendly and smiling. This is not a hotel for those that need everything perfect, many aspects of The Revere need updating. Sadly as it’s been threatened with a Compulsory Purchase Order for 10 years to allow for the nearby hospital to redevelop, some things have not been done. However it’s clean and many rooms are intriguing. Far better than a soulless chain, we’d love to stay again!

Booked this hotel through British Airways. Arrived and was show to our room. Upstairs, no lift! Smallest room you could imagine! En-suite was a broom cupboard with a toilet, wash basin and shower crammed in. The shower tray was cracked and the ceiling of the shower had paint peeling from it. We said we were not happy and were shown a slightly bigger room that looked like it had been modelled on a 1950's run down b&b in Blackpool. We stayed one night (out of the three we had been booked into) and moved into a proper hotel. When we checked out it was noted that it was two nights early and we were offered to be shown another room, but how many do you really need to see? Steer clear!
