We have just spent ten days at the Millbrook House in Jersey (September 2015). Every element of our stay was exceptional: comfortable room with lovely sea view; the best hotel food we have ever been served (at a very good price); courteous, attentive and hard-working staff; wonderful, secluded location. We look forward very much to returning and would have no... More

A lovely good old fashioned B&B that serves an excellent and plentiful buffet breakfast (incl. full English) but also dinner choosing between 2 to 5-course meals where the portions are adequate, the dishes simple but tasty and the prices very reasonable - add to this the personal attention by the proprietor (affectionately called Mr P by his many returning guest)... The hotel is in a nice setting but needs updating, there was a damp smell everywhere. Our room certainly needed improvement, the carpet was badly stained, the pillows needed replacing. The food was nice except the vegetables which tasted like they came from a tin. The staff very friendly and helpful

We have just returned from our 27th visit to this hotel. The brochure advertises peace, quiet and tranquillity. This is exactly what you get along with great value and wonderful staff. There are many other guests who we see year after year who obviously feel as we do. The owner, Mr Pirouet, is one of life's true gentleman and makes... More

The house and gardens dream of ages long ago, wishing that the present had not happened. Bathrooms and rooms very hospitable. Gardens are beautiful and great to walk in to think. Views are excellent if in the front. Heaters in every room if you are cold. Some of the staff are friendly while others are a bit quiet.

We stayed at the Millbrook for a week. It is located right in the middle between St. Helier and St. Aubin not far from the ferry. Away from the street and fortunately away from the heavy air traffic on Jersey. So absolutely quiet. We had our bicycles with us and it turned out, that the Location was ideally suited to... More

This is a hard review to write; there are obvious pluses and minuses. I have read some of the terrible moan and groan reviews and some of the excellent praising reviews. My wife and I can understand both viewpoints but all in all we were more than happy. I am 61 years of age and my wife is 58 and... More

We needed a place to stay for a couple of nights when friends could not accommodate. Yes its dated with no shower but, it filled a need and my 9year old daughter thought it was great fun, they were also so accommodating when we needed an early breakfast and there was freshly cooked sausage available!

Nice quiet hotel. We booked this hotel because we didn't want a swimming pool or evening entertainment as we like to spend the days exploring the island and relaxing on the evenings. The breakfasts were excellent but evening meals were less than average and would recommend you eating out at nights. I suggest you visit Saint Mary's Inn (in Saint... More

I thought Norman Bates was going to come and find me! Really outdated hotel with rooms very basic and old fashioned. Breakfast was ok but waiting staff were grumpy. There is a pleasant garden which is secluded but all a bit neglected. If you have no transport there is quite a long drive to walk down to reach the road... More
