What a lovely place to stay! Easy to get to from the bus station. Ask Jean to email you the walking directions sheet. Spotless clean and incredibly comfy bed. Room lovely and warm. Room well maintained and we loved the Penguin bar each day haha. Breakfast delicious every day. Jean and David could not have been better hosts. Nothing was...

Jean and Dave can't do enough for you, the beds are really comfortable and the breakfast can't be beaten! It's also very central so you don't have to walk far to the shops or bus station, all in all a...

Our room was a bit small but the hosts were very accommodating and put a computer table in another room for us. The rooms had been refurbished and were not old fashioned. Breakfasts were excellent. Very good value for money and close to town.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Surrey Lodge. The bed was VERY comfortable, and the cooked-to-order breakfast tasty and filling (do try the local "brown butter" made from apples and spice). But it's really the above-and-beyond service from hosts Jean and Dave that stand out. We needed boarding passes for our onward flight: Dave printed them straight-away. The flight left...

Breakfast was something we both looked forward to and set us up nicely for the day. The perfect holiday begins and ends with good clean accommodation and good food. I had that 'perfect holiday.' Jean and Dave who own Surrey Lodge were very friendly and incredibly helpful at all times. Definitely ten out of ten.

I agree with other reviewers that this very traditional Bed and Breakfast provides everything that you could need for a pleasant stay. Thank you again for the gluten free breakfast...

I visited with my wife and daughter and we took two rooms, a double and a twin. We very much enjoyed our stay at Surrey Lodge Guest House. Jean and Dave were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Dave is a dab hand at the "Full English" breakfast which we loved and set us up for the day. The...
