What a beautiful local pub. The food was excellent and very quick. Landlord was very welcoming. Well worth a visit. Superb end to our lovely holiday in Jersey. Well worth a visit. The bay was so beautiful lovely place to walk along the beach.

Had a lovely evening meal here. The menu is very varied with a huge amount of choice. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable about the local area (even told us that the nearby Bay is pronounced Wayneee although it is spelt Ouaisne) My wife was recommended the Espetada by the staff and wasn't disappointed. The best way of describing it is a huge Kebab on a hanging Skewer. Yes it's not a new and sparking venue but the foods great, it's got a bit of character and the staff are welcoming. Also good value for money.

A nice traditional old pub with lots of character, we called in here for lunch. The food was good and the portions were generous- a packed prawn baguette and a huge chicken and bacon salad. Both were tasty and served very promptly.

Like other reviewers, our friends found this is such a shabby and dilapidated let down. Regardless of its ‘history’, the impression is that no effort has been made to make it look even a little bit inviting, and has remained exactly the same since I first went there in 1968! While our friends thought the beer on offer was good, the food was indifferent, and poor quality. I have been very disappointed in the food on every occasion that we have given it ‘another go’ this last year, and not been impressed with the service either. What a shame, as it wouldn’t take much to improve standards, especially as there are such great places to eat and drink along St Brelade’s Bay. Sorry, but I can’t recommend it.
