Great night away, fantastic food, beautiful room and sea view, lovely complimentary toiletries, comfortable bed, attentive staff, safe Covid environment, so good we are going back for New Year ! Highly recommend
Stayed here a few years ago and liked it so much we came back. It has fantastic views over the bay and despite Covid service in the restaurant was maintained very well. Quality of food was just a tad off the level of a few years ago but still pretty good and it's understandable with all the problemas the pandamic gives to a hotel. Would we stay again - oh, yes.
I took the kids for a one night staycation midweek. The room was lovely with a separate bedroom for kids with bunk beds and their own tv. Large and comfortable main bed. Bathroom was lovely with underfloor heating. We used indoor pool on both days. The 3 course dinner and buffet breakfast were really good - service was very, very good. Highly recommend.
We were staying oiginally for 3 nights but loved it so much extended our stay to 4. Shortley upon arrival the general manager after finding out we were on our honeymoon, organised a room upgrade for us which was incredable! Throughout our stay all members of staff were phenominal and the food and facilities were all faultless. We stayed at 5 different hotels during our staycation honeymoon and St Brelades was hands down the best. This hotel has the best view in the island and we will be staying again.
We stayed in the Bay Suite and our kids stayed in one of the sea view rooms on the top floor. The Bay Suite (on the first floor) is a decent size with plenty of space in the lounge area for four to sit. The balcony is also sizeable with seating and loungers and views across the bay. The decor is appealing and there were two TVs. Unfortunately, the room was let down by a lack of attention to detail. For example, the heated towel rail wasn’t working, there was no remote control for the TV in the bedroom (so we couldn’t use it) and one of the UHT milks had gone off. The bar service was good. They made a delicious Singapore Sling. The meals at this hotel were adequate. The service at dinner seemed a little old fashioned (but quick and friendly). Breakfast was a buffet. Again, OK, but I’ve had better. The orange juice was good, so too were the pastries, but the scrambled eggs were unappealing. We were not offered alternatives like kippers etc. We enjoyed using the tennis court which was well maintained. The health club is run by a separate company which caused some confusion. When we booked we asked if we could book a time to swim, but was told this wasn’t necessary. When we got to the health club we were told that a booking was essential. We were permitted to swim at the time, but there were no time slots available for when we wanted to swim the next day (due to a ladies swimming session and bookings by other guests). We managed to book a time to swim for after check out, but even then they lost the details and said there wasn’t a booking in our name. Not a bad hotel, but minor niggles let it down. …
