We have just returned from a two night break here in this gem in Wicklow. I have been here before when it was just ready for opening (the painting was still in progress) but this didn't take from our enjoyment then. However on return this week the improvement made all over the place is very welcome. The gardens are magnificent... More

We booked Tinakilly House for a family meal. With many children in the group, they were well catered for, as were the adults. Selection of dishes was very good with lovely bespoke cake. Children's meal were devoured - the sign of a good restaurant, without them being bog-standard 'children's meals' Service was attentive and discreet. The grounds were a lovely... More

This has to be one of my favourite places to stay, the staff were extremely friendly especially the German lady on reception, the room had an amazing view with a king size bed. Beautiful walks in their gardens, drinking champagne on the lawns. The best surprise was the restaurant, from first course to last the food was outstanding. Can't wait... More

Gorgeous country house hotel set in lovely surroundings. Room very nice and clean with an old fashioned tv and the wifi sporadic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good although the dinner portions were quite small. Breakfast was excellent. I would high recommend this hotel.

Great location for a mid-week break; comfortable, generous-sized and well-appointed room with glorious views towards the Irish Sea over relaxing polo ponies and Broad Lough. Only 30mins from Dublin's southside. Staff were outstanding in the warmth of their attention. Catering was another highlight: excellent breakfasts, very enjoyable dinner with a good wine list, great bar food and remarkable afternoon tea.... More

The sign says it all. Welcoming from the minute one arrives to when one sadly leaves. Beautiful gardens and walks close by. Many different rooms and areas for intimate or function dining, drinks and entertaining. Such knowledgeable and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. This grand manor house is lovingly maintained and offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Superb food... More

This is a really lovely place to stop for a tea/coffee, or check in and explore County Wicklow. Located just off the N11 from Dublin to Wexford or Rosslare Port, and easily reached by following the signs for Rathnew and Wicklow Town. We live near Enniskerry in North Wicklow and this is one of our favourite stops if we are... More

We had afternoon tea and it was fab! The service was great, and the tea was delish. At first I thought it looked a bit small but it was in fact the perfect amount. The hotel itself is lovely, beautifully decorated and full of history. The staff were very accomodating with our picky children!

Tonakilly is a marvellous retreat and a great location for day trips around Wicklow. The antique furniture, interior decoration and gardens of this grande mansion create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The building could do with some renovation, but then again it has charme. The freshly made scones and marmelades for breakfast were delicious and the choice and quality of dinner... More

Top quality! Have recommended to friends & will be back. Beautiful food, friendly staff. Rooms were unique and spotless. We had a lovely walk through the grounds. Would be ideal for a wedding. Great service throughout our stay. The four of us had a wonderful stay.
