We stayed 4 nights, our preference was Dublin but a concert in Croke Park put accommodation prices in Dublin beyond our reach. We couldn't have selected a better alternative. Arriving late on Thursday night we were warmly greeted by Beanie who showed us our ground floor room to the back of the house, the room was well presented & spacious,... More

This is a beautiful home set in a large lawn area. Unfortunately the bedrooms are quite small and we found the towels were very well used and actually frayed, not the sort of thing to give guests. Breakfast was adequate, but conversation with the owner, quite limited. Of the ten or so places we visited in Ireland found this lady... More

We had a great stay at Cherrybrook. Bernie was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit small, but that was not a major issue for us. The gathering area was good for our group to visit in the evening. The conservatory was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was good for exploring. We had a great... More

Very clean and nice but rooms quite small. Our room was on the ground floor with no blinds or net curtains to give privacy. Had to keep the main curtains closed. No bottled water as advertised. Wooden floor in corridor made walking loud, and we could hear other people's hair dryers and bathroom fans. Large shower but not powerful shower... More

We called ahead and reserved this B&B. Bernie was a good communicator and was ready for us when we arrived. This was our first B&B experience in Ireland and the beginning of the season for Bernie. Clean and beautifully maintained throughout. The common areas had good local information and the breakfast set the bar high for the rest of our... More

Very warm welcome from the owner, Bernie, who makes you feel at home as soon as you step through the door. Extremely clean house and rooms with everything needed for a great stay. Lovely breakfast served in a light and airy conservatory, overlooking the surrounding countryside. Within easy walking distance of the Avoca Mill and the village. The place to... More

You cannot go wrong with this place. Clean, new, hospitable, great rooms, and value. Breakfast wonderful. Lady of the house a sweetheart and goes out of her way to make you both comfortable and will give advice on where to go and how to get there. Very Stress-free. And get this! I left my wallet in a petrol station and... More

This B and B is clean, comfortable, good value, and breakfast was excellent (and we all had different breakfasts, all excellent!). We enjoyed meeting Bernie, who was very kind and generous with her time. The wifi signal was good and parking was ample. It's a short walk into town along a poorly lit footpath. Avoca itself is quiet and simple.... More
