We wanted a quiet, comfortable place to ring in the new year and we found exactly the right place. Michael and Barbara are wonderful hosts and the b&b is in a lovely location. The breakfast is a great start to the day - try the potato cake! It is true that it faces onto the road, but if you close... More

We stayed here as it was the nearest available place to the venue for a wedding we were going to. We were welcomed at the door by Michael who gave us a tour and showed us where everything was. The room was large and clean with an en suite bathroom and a nice view of a valley and forests. The... More

We arrived to a warm welcome and a beautiful room with breath taking views. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wonderful cooked choice and an array of pastries, luxury cereals, fruit, juice and teas. Nothing was too much trouble and individual tastes are catered for. My mum was offered gluten free bread as she cannot tolerate wheat and it was... More

The rooms were cosy and exceptionally clean with all the facilities you would want and expect. Mick and Barbara were absolutely lovely people. Mick has an excellent local knowledge and... More

We stayed here in July 2015 while attending a wedding nearby. The B&B itself is lovely. A charming old building with interesting features. Our favourite part was the host, Mick! He was so chatty, warm and helpful! We can't wait to stay again, but for longer next time.

Pictures on booking.com very deceiving with a picture which must have been taken from high over the house from an angle which gives the impression of house set in woodlands, well do not be deceived by these pictures the house is less than 15 meters from a main road where cars, buses & HGVs whizz by. The room was tiny... More

Stayed over prior to attending a wedding in Rathdrum. What a beautiful house. We were warmly welcomed on arrival my Mick He took time to give us detailed directions to venues we needed and made helpful suggestion of places to eat. The room was homely, spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. He went out of way to accommodate our daughter... More

Warm welcome, relaxing location in rural setting. Beautiful decor through out property, cosy comfy bedroom with excellent breakfast. Close to Avoca by car and 10 minutes easy stroll to two pubs that serve food.

Just returned from a stay at The Old Coach House and as a venue for a short break I couldn't recommend it more highly. Our room was clean, pleasant and had all the amenities you would expect.
