We have been to Marlfeld House on so many occasions over a period of several years. We have stayed in a superb room, which had one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in anywhere. The food is always superb. The management and staff are so professional always. We have dined there many times. And attended musical evenings held there on six or... More

Located between the cute harbor village of Courtown and the rather drab town of Gorey, Marlfield is a pleasant stay for the most part. The building is impressive, as are the gardens, which are nice to have a stroll around in the evening. It's a good base for a day trip to the beaches of Wexford and perhaps north to... More

Arrived for afternoon tea last week and were meet by very friendly and helpful staff. The surroundings and gardens really lovely but I had a few issues with the afternoon tea itself. When you had finished the sandwiches, a clean side plate should have been given. The scones should have been served with the jam and cream in individual little... More

Marlfield never disappoints. The food is fabulous here. It's in a beautiful area surrounded by mature gardens. Nice and private. This family run hotel is worth visiting.Waiting staff are polite, friendly and courteous. If you want a relaxing weekend this is the place to go as there isn't much to do apart from take a stroll through the gardens or... More

In the UK we have an expression that describes a small room - no room to swing a cat. Any cat swinging in our room at this hotel would have left kitty concussed. We only stayed one night but longer and I would have felt cramped. The bathroom especially was tiny. Overall an OK experience. Nice eateries. Nice hotel albeit... More

Room was extremely luxurious and comfortable. I particularly liked the way the beds were turned down each evening, curtains drawn and lamps turned on. The hallway was so welcoming with masses of freshly cut flowers and a roaring fire. Plenty of information available on places to visit. Dining was superb and waitressing staff most courteous. The girls at the desk... More

Dined in the conservatory restaurant around this time last year but we left a bit underwhelmed and after our recent meal experience I have to say the standard has gone through the roof. Firstly the menu has been modernised and the presentation of dishes was first class. The goats cheese crumble and scallops were the highlights. Many thanks to all... More

Charging top prices one would expect top quality but alas that was not our experience. We were given a small cluttered room with faded grandeur and brown furniture which did not match. There was a lack of attention to detail (worn stair carpets, blown bulbs not replaced, faulty tap, faulty grouting around bath, etc.). The staff were competent and helpful... More

We so looked forward to afternoon at this hotel. We asked for a garden view thinking we would be seated in the conservatory but no we were seated in the bar right at the bar counter. The afternoon tea was very disappointing, no dainty sandwiches here all heavy duty on thick slices of brown bread. The pastries were no better.... More

This Hotel has a quirky old world opulence that is breath taking! From the second you walk through the doors you are greeted with the aroma of freshly cut flowers, a fire and a feeling of arriving 'home'. We were shown to our room which again was stunning, spacious and obviously spotless. Bathroom huge too. We overlooking the gardens where... More
