Celebrating a birthday with Sunday lunch. Food and service were excellent and the staff were very accommodating with making room and setting up a high chair. Parking seemed a bit congested as there is another casual dining restaurant as well, so was quite busy. gardens are lovely. Did consider returning to stay the following week, but found the prices quite... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay. We were upgraded to a classic room with lovely views over the gardens. The room was very nice, but were disappointed that no tea making facilities available in any rooms, however there was a bowl of fresh fruit and water. Would have expected dressing gowns to match the slippers provided... Dinner in... More

I think I just has one of the best customer service experiences ever! I recently called Marlfield House to purchase a gift voucher to be delivered in Gorey the next day. The phone was answered by Dawn who, despite the fact that I had missed the evening post, ensured that the delivery was made on time. She delivered it in... More

We had one night stay at this five star hotel. Situated just off the motorway near Gorey, the historic building is situated at end of a tree lined avenue in calm rural surroundings. Our room had a four poster bed and the bathroom was very spacious. Dinner was preceded with drinks in the bar adjacent to the dining room. On... More

We have been to Marlfeld House on so many occasions over a period of several years. We have stayed in a superb room, which had one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in anywhere. The food is always superb. The management and staff are so professional always. Located between the cute harbor village of Courtown and the rather drab town of Gorey, Marlfield is a pleasant stay for the most part. The building is impressive, as are the gardens, which are nice to have a stroll around in the evening. It's a good base for a day trip to the beaches of Wexford and perhaps north to... More

Arrived for afternoon tea last week and were meet by very friendly and helpful staff. The surroundings and gardens really lovely but I had a few issues with the afternoon tea itself. When you had finished the sandwiches, a clean side plate should have been given. The scones should have been served with the jam and cream in individual little... More

In the UK we have an expression that describes a small room - no room to swing a cat. Any cat swinging in our room at this hotel would have left kitty concussed. We only stayed one night but longer and I would have felt cramped. The bathroom especially was tiny. Overall an OK experience. Nice eateries. Nice hotel albeit... More

Room was extremely luxurious and comfortable. I particularly liked the way the beds were turned down each evening, curtains drawn and lamps turned on. The hallway was so welcoming with masses of freshly cut flowers and a roaring fire. Plenty of information available on places to visit. Dining was superb and waitressing staff most courteous. The girls at the desk... More
