This old-style hotel overlooks Mullaghmore harbour. Last Sunday, Jul. 17, was a perfect day with sunshine and blue sky. The Beach Hotel had tables arranged outside. It looked great. Unfortunately, all the tables were occupied. We decided to go indoors and got a lovely table, next to a window, overlooking the harbour etc. We ordered the seafood chowder. Wow! This... More

Spent two nights b&b at this hotel. Although the room was clean, it was dated. The room was at the back of the hotel which faced onto a wall.the windows were so old that they did not close properly. The breakfast was of poor quality, very low grade sausages which were disgusting. The staff did not inform us that we... More

The staff are lovely and friendly and are the best asset of this place. The room smelt mouldy the lamp shapes were covered in it. The pink bathroom would be ok if it was clean. The bed is the worst i have ever slept in. Even at 55 euro each if nothing else you expect a good bed

Normally never write a complaint, but theres always a first time, we normally eat in the Pier Head but decided to try the Beach for a change, never again. Ordered 2 kids meals and a Open Crab Sandwich and Battered Fish and chips, glass of milk and water. So far so good until the waitress landed with the milk and... More

This hotel is what it is. There's a lot that needs done to bring it up to date, but some work has been done already. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs to our 2nd floor room, but the view was superb. (Stair carpet rather old.)The room was spacious, but the bed had seen better days. The mattress was ripped... More

Spent two nights here. Limited parking is available opposite the hotel and in some side streets, and is on a first come first served basis. Reception area a bit dark and drab, but the whole place really needs an update and lots of TLC. There is no lift here, so not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Got a distinct... More

Nice spacious room, spotless in every way. We had a room to the front of the hotel and the views were amazing. A bit disappointed the swimming pool wasn't opened as we had our 11 year old with us so we look forward to visiting again when it has opened

Just 30 mins from Sligo lies this sleepy village. Has just one grocery shop and two hotels. We stayed in the smaller one- upgrading to family room was a great idea- our room was lovely. Met load of people in this intimate hotel from North and South. Food in bar good. Bar very nice relaxed atmosphere. No lift which could... More
