This is a lovely place for walks along the river. We only stayed one night, travelling through, but it was delightful. The rooms are functional, and clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is great. Wifi is good and the rooms looking over the river give lovely views.

Even though we spent only 1 night there,we will definitely be back for a longer stay as it was so friendly & a fantastic breakfast,Bedrooms were excellent with very friendly staff. We would have loved to do the walks by the river Barrow but the weather prevented us from doing so.Next time around we hope for better weather so we can... Lovely location next to the river. Just had coffee and scones but there was a good welcome and the service was very good. Restaurant is bright and well laid out. Toilets very well maintained. Good place to stop after walk from St Mullins

A group of 8 of us stayed at the Waterside for 3 nights over the St Patrick's Day holiday. We had a wonderful time. On arriving to checking out the service we received was wonderful. We were served the gorgeous Irish breakfast each morning by the lovely Beth who couldn't do enough for us, so friendly and attentive. Each day... More

Beautiful location next to the river, arrived at night and had no idea how pretty it was! Breakfast was nice, the porridge was lovely! Comfortable beds and room, thanks great nights sleep even with the wind howling through the Windows, it was awful weather, not the hotels fault.

Hi Folks, Thanks for the positive review. And sorry about the weather. Still beyond our control, but we are working on that! Anyway Waterside goes into hibernation for the winter months as it is such an outdoor destination. So hope to see you back here when Spring is sprung. Brian More

More than a B&B. The guesthouse features a very good restaurant, with very large rooms overlooking the Barrow River. Take a walk along the towpath and enjoy the tranquility. The towns history is linked to the Abby and celebrates this with a series of stone monks each portraying a different craft. See how many you can find. Great walking, cycling,... More

Brilliant, thanks for that. Your review encapsulates loads of the goodies that makes waterside and Graiguenamanagh so special. Now just add in Trad music in Mick Doyles, a visit to Cushendale Woolen Mills and relaxing in a cosy bedroom overlooking the river and the vision is complete. And some nice photos there as well. Hope to see you again soon. More

The room was wonderful. Large, with separate toilet to shower-room, a double bed, two singles and a sofa - and not a bit crowded. Views over the river and to Brandon Hill. Breakfast was served - two courses, with lots of choice. Tapas for dinner. Rowing was well-organised and was fantastic.

Thanks very much for the nice words. Our Tapas menu went down really well this season. Already talking with the chef about what other surprises we can spring for Spring. Glad you enjoyed your stay. More

The hotel rates itself as a three star and that is what it is. The rating, however, does not reflect the excellent quality of the service. From the moment we walked in the door, staff could not do enough for us. They even washed and dried a load of clothes for us, delivering them to our room. The room was... More

We (a group of 10 rowers) spent a week at the Waterside Inn and were totally charmed with the owners, staff, location, the local rivers (Barrow, Nore and Suir Rivers) and even the weather they provided! Our rooms looked out onto the sleepy River Barrow - no cars! (the walls of the rooms are a bit thin, so watch what... More
