Delighted to see the village at Lyons opening daily 11.30-8pm and it's just a short walk by the picturesque canal from my house! I couldn't be happier! Sandra is the best and really takes care of her customers! It's a real gem for the locals to be able to wander down the canal bank for a stroll and breakfast/lunch ,... More

We visited the Canal Cafe at the Village at Lyons for lunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday. As there were 5 of us we couldn't get a table straight away but the manager took our phone number and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The food and the service were both excellent, our waitress was... More

Hi Eimear G, Many thanks for your review. The new menu in the Canal cafe has been received very well by of our customers. The recent hot spell of weather has encouraged more customers to visit. At particularly busy times, it can be a challenge to accommodate everyone. Delighted to learn of your pleasant experience. Hope to see you again... More

From the moment that we checked in with Mariane and Nicola superhelpul ladies at reception we felt special. We stayed at the Irelandia suite which was superb and very relaxing. We went for a 3 new course dinner where Thierry the somelier looked after us with an organic fixxy rose champagne which was delicious; to continue we allowed him to... More

Was here for a wedding, beautiful place and surroundings. Food was lovely and service was very very good. Room was quite nice, very clean and bathroom was amazing however a bit overpriced for what the rooms have to offer. No air conditioning & very pricey mini bar for drinking water. Phone/wi fi signal was non existent.

We stayed here for a family wedding and you really get what you pay for. Stunning setting, incredible food and fabulous accommodation. Just to note, if staying in one of the cottages you needn't necessarily take the buggy service to your room as suggested - it's a much quicker walk than you think as there's a shortcut through the garden.... We travelled here as part of a wedding that took place on Sunday. The grounds in which the venue are in are simply stunning, from the long drive to the main building to all of the nooks and crannies there are to explore. We arrived a couple of hours before the wedding was due to start and proceeded to attempt... More

It was my second wedding in this beautiful setting with waterfalls thundering down outside the room where we were eating made even more dramatic by the rain that day. It provided a beautiful setting & a vibrant backdrop. There is a lovely, cosy cubbyhole area at the end of the room where it's really lovely to relax after sitting upright... More

This is a beautiful location, there is simply no denying that. However, when recently staying (in a 2 bad apartment at a cost of €280) we had no hot water to wash out faces or to have showers the morning of a wedding! I called a staff member twice to come see if they could get the hot water to... More

This was the venue for our sons wedding and although we initially had some reservations due to the distance from where we lived (125 miles from Belfast) and the fact that it could only sleep approx. 70 guests. However all our fears disappeared when we arrived at the hotel the afternoon before the wedding. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and... More
