Arrived in Spiddal on a cold, wet, dreary July night. Received a very warm welcome from Vera. She recommended Tigh Giblin for dinner and it was amazing. Our room was clean, warm and cozy. She even put the heating on in the morning to take the chill out of the air. The breakfast was probably the best I have eaten in a... More

Stopped in Spidall for a bite to eat while driving along the coast. Decided to spend the night and chose the Ardmore Country House. Great choice. Lovely, well maintained, and comfortable too. Large bathroom but modest sized room with large king sized bed. Hosts were very gracious and breakfast was outstanding. My companion requires a gluten free menu which was... More

We were fortunate enough to be able to reserve a room in Ardmore Country House at quite short notice. Without doubt the nicest B&B we ever stayed in. Vera made us feel very welcome. Spotlessly clean room, wifi, tv and a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed 3 days in lovely Spiddal at Ardmor Country House. We would recommend it to all travelers to the area. Vera, the proprietress, know what she is doing. Since she has done it for 50 years that makes sense. Her B+B is neat and tidy. There's a sense that it's a continual cycle for her and her husband to... More

The rooms were comfortable with good views and there is a great craft village right down the street in quaint Spiddal but what makes Ardmore so fantastic are the hosts Vera and Bartley. Where to begin: Vera bakes everything herself and the cherry tarts our first morning were out of this world. The bread and scones were excellent as well... More

The view from the Ardmor was spectacular. Vera's gardens are beautiful. The rooms are spotless and the bed beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with home baked pastries and a lovely Irish breakfast each morning. Best of the visit was Vera and her lovely husband. She gave us great suggestions on where to go, how to shorten our routes and... More

We are a family of 6 (4 children under 10) and felt very welcome. Our rooms were comfortable, spotless and next to each other. Vera cooked us delicious breakfast, even making pancakes for the children and insisted that we pack her little scones or muffins to keep us going during the day. Vera and Bartle both gave us good advice... More

Every time we are in Spiddal, we stay with Vera and Bartley. There is always a warm welcome. We usually get a room with a view of Galway Bay with a small table and chairs to enjoy. We also get a view of the gardens at the back of the B&B. Breakfast is arranged at long tables so you can... More

We arrived on a lovely sunny spring afternoon from the hussle & bussle of Quay st, Galway. The azaleas were in full bloom and across the manicured gardens drifted a floral scented welcome. After checking in we sat on the back deck with a bottle of wine and a punnet of sweet Irish strawberries looking over the deep blue of... More

We had a comfortable and pleasant stay here with a comfortable room and a delicious breakfast with plenty of tasty options, and even some scones for our road trip... Vera was so lovely and kind; the type of person with whom you want to spend time... She and her husband created an ambiance that was special and they offered ideas... More
