Spent 5 nights there from 8th-13th September, and having spent a lifetime in hotels around the world, I can safely say this was one of my better experiences. The accommodation was spacious, and on a par, or better of many hotel rooms I have stayed in, in far better known locations.
The staff are excellent and very helpful, and the breakfast options on offer could not be faulted - there are so many alternatives that all tastes will be catered for. The Irish breakfast is a large portion, freshly cooked, is very tasty and will set you up for the day.
Kinvara itself is a great base for exploring the area - 1/2 hour to Galway city on one hand and the Burren on the other, so you’re spoiled for choice. There are also a good variety of pubs, serving food, and restaurants on offer to satisfy any taste, bur being located on the Atlantic coast, seafood is a primary source of nourishment.
Kinvara Guesthouse is great value for money, and the best we can say is to confirm that we will be back.

What a beautiful place to stay! It looks NOTHING from the outside, but stepping in through the front door I felt like I had entered Narnia through the wardrobe and this big huge, beautifully decorated guest house opened up before my eyes!

Tastefully and elegantly decorated, this feels much more like a hotel than a guest house. The family room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. A large bathroom with powerful and hot electric shower.

Breakfast was plentiful and you have table service for the whole meal (due to Cv19 restrictions). Amazing value too at €85 for 2 adults and 1 child with breakfast.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

When we first arrived - we were initially concerned - it was a relatively small entrance set among some shops - but don’t be fooled, once inside it opens up into a well appointed environment, clean and well decorated. The rooms we booked were spacious with en-suite shower rooms. This is definitely a hotel standard guest house. It’s location is central to the lovely village setting with its harbour, small unique shops and we were there on their market day which was really lovely

This is such a charming guesthouse in the middle of everything! From the outside you would never guess how many rooms are hidden behind the façade. We had two rooms for 3 days with breakfast included in our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable & airy. We were able to open the windows and let the fresh air in upon returning daily from our adventures. The front desk was always helpful and had good recommendations for places to eat or things to see in town. The breakfast was very good. The location is perfect, near a pharmacy and grocery store and there was always parking available. This was our home base for visiting the Burren, taking the ferry to the Aran Islands from Doolin and for visiting Galway & the Ireland School of Falconry. Nothing is more than an hour drive away. Cheers Kinvara Guesthouse, it was lovely visit!

Stayed here in August during my holidays in Galway. We unfortunately arrived earlier than expected at around 2.30PM. There was no one in reception so we rang the phone number shown on the table. A male staff member answered and came down and snapped at us that we have arrived too early. He did not seem to understand what we were fully saying. He snapped at us saying "please just go away to a restaurant or something." I found his tone of voice unwelcoming As he turned around to go back into the corridor I heard him say very loudly "f**king hell" or something of the sort. We felt unwelcome, as well as disgusted and shocked. When we returned the woman who checked us in seemed more polite and carried our bags.

The room was clean and spacious . The bed was comfortable and the windows had views of the sea.

Breakfast was the same as you would get anywhere and that is okay. I would say the rashers were too greasy. Friendly breakfast waitresses but they seemed understaffed and stressed.

The man at check out was much more friendlier.

It is a shame one person can ruin what would have been an overall positive experience. I can't imagine returning.

It looks small on the outside, but actually large with many rooms on the inside. We saw that they had a 9.2 rating on booking and we quickly saw why it was so good. The first thing that surprised me was the clean smell in the halls, Not a clean chemical smell, just a nice clean smell and an absence of any bad smells. That really impressed me.

Each one of us when we walked in the room said wow. It was a big room with three beds, very nicely decorated, immaculate, super comfortable beds, super nice everything.

It has a restaurant right across the street, parking right in front and a wonderful dining room. An outstanding place

We booked a last minute family room in the guesthouse to visit Elf Town and visit the Christmas market in Eyre Square, and could not have been happier with our experience.

The staff were amazing, room was clean and toasty warm, beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic (and made available 15 minutes earlier than normal due to our early start at our request.

Would absolutely recommend and will be staying again.

Very big room and bed. Clean. Centre of the village with easy parking. Unfortunately our room faced onto the road and pub, not too noisy at night, but very noisy early in the morning with deliveries. Good windows kept the noise out and had blackout blinds. Slept much better once we discovered the fan as it was a warm room!
Breakfast was basic, not many hot options for a vegetarian. But friendly staff and we would probably stay there again for the value and location.

Very good house, very pretty little village. To recommend, good beds, traditional breakfast correct for the price, rather sweet. Friendly welcome, toiletries and towels available in the room
