As has been said by reviewers before me, the beauty of Connemara is amazing but the real reason to stay here is the friendliness of Shirley King, the owner. Our room was clean and well-equipped. The bathroom was spotless. The views of Errisbeg Mountain from the house are exceptional as well. We enjoyed fantastic breakfasts, lively conversation and all of...

First - the photograph of the pristine beach, the lodge and the mountain is quite misleading. It's taken with a telephoto lens from miles away on a spit of land and space is compressed. In fact the "lodge" is surrounded, crowded really, by other buildings, homes and the like and the beach you see in the photograph is quite a...

Dear Clergy, In response to your review titled "Misleading Photograph", I would like say that the photo you are writing about was not taken with a "telephoto" lens, or any other special equipment. It was taken with a box-standard photo camera and an ordinary lens from a boat. The owner took took the photographer out on a boat and asked...

Stayed at Errisbeg Lodge on the recommendation of some friends of ours who had been out to Roundstone for a weekend earlier in the year. Have to say we were very pleasantly surprised; the accommodation was of a higher grade than we had been expecting. Spotlessly clean rooms, simply furnished and very comfortable. Contrary to another reviewer I have to...

This B&B has great views of stunning Connemara coast and is within walking distance of two spectacular beaches. The rooms are quite spare, with only a bed and a simple chair and no TV. The place does not have a communal sitting area or TV. There is little to do inside, but the dramatic scenery outside is the main attraction.

Stayed in Errisbeg Lodge as a result of a recommendation of some friends, and am delighted to have done so! The lodge itself is immaculately kept, rooms are spacious and bright with a choice of sea or mountain view, and bathrooms spotless. Our host Shirley, and her husband Jackie are veritable fountains of local knowledge and will gladly share as...

When we arrived at Errisbeg, we had just experienced our first day of driving in Ireland (a hair-raising experience to say the least), where we had encountered small roads, large tour buses, and speedy locals. We had to change a flat tire due to hitting a rock as we swerved to avoid an oncoming car, and were complately exhausted and...

We spent 2 wks in Ireland for our 25th anniversary, and Errisbeg Lodge was my favorite place out of the half-dozen we visited. Our hostess Shirley was delightful and full of wonderful stories. The breakfasts were superb. I couldn't believe how immaculate the accommodations were. With a name like lodge, I thought this would be rustic, but everything seemed new,...

I only stayed at this B&B for one night and I would love to go back and spend more time in this enchanting setting. The house is situated between beach and mountain so you get the best of both worlds and unbeatable views from all sides. You get a warm Irish welcome on arrival, and helpful suggestions on what to...

This is where you'll experience a true irish welcome. Errisbeg Lodge is where you'll find not only a fantastic service but it is set in unspoilt Ireland, with a mountain to the rear of the lodge and two beautiful long sandy beach's in front of it, one of them dogs bay, never did I experience a more beautiful landscape. Shirley...

Spent two nights at Errisbeg Lodge with a room facing the Atlantic Ocean. Despite the constant drizzle and cloudiness, it was an enchanting spot. The house backs onto the most beautiful rocky hillside covered with wildflowers and perfect for long walks. A few minutes' walk will also lead you down to two beaches (there were people swimming, but we didn't)....
