Travelers' Choice
Murrays' Doonmore Hotel, the most westerly island hotel in Ireland, was built in 1969 and has been owned and managed by the Murray family ever since. We pride ourselves on our hands on approach to customer service so you will be dealing with a member of the family at most stages of your stay. We care about what we do because it is not just a job, it is our life. Our friendly staff are superbly trained and they know that our raison d'etre is to ensure that every customer, from a child ordering a hot chocolate to a group of adults staying for a week, deserves only the best service possible. Our hotel and bar food is famous for its freshly caught seafood and its consistently high quality and value for money. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and warm. The atmosphere is welcoming, homely and relaxed. It is no accident that we have a large percentage of repeat business stretching back to the early days. The proof of the pudding is in the eating (and we bake all our own!) So come out and visit and experience Murrays' Doonmore Hotel for yourselves. Andrew Murray

My husband, 3 kids (aged 6,8,10) and I are just back from a fantastic weekend trip to Inishboffin. The Doonmore Hotel is situated about a kilometer from the pier and is superbly located right on the rocky shore overlooking the sea. Andrew met us off the ferry in the van to take our bags and we ambled there on foot exploring the island. The hotel put us up in a comfy spacious family room, 3 single beds and a double which we fell into each night, having cycled, swam and hiked around the island each day. My youngest said it was the comfiest bed he ever slept on! We ate at the hotel both nights snd really enjoyed the seafood, mussels and sticky toffee pudding! We were made to feel very relaxed and at home despite Covid restrictions thanks to Andrew and the friendly staff there.

3 girls stayed in the Doonmore hotel for 2 nights. Andrew, Hannah and team made it the most fantastic few days. The hotel is clean and very well located but the food was exceptional. We had, breakfast lunch and dinner in the hotel bar. The apple tart deserves a special mention! The added bonus was the beautiful wines. Thank you Andrew and Hannah for 2 wonderful days.

We stayed here for ten days. Located right by the sea the views were spectacular. The room was spotless, huge bed and powerful shower. The food was delicious - crab, lobster and freshly caught fish, as well as plenty of meat for the carnivores. The staff were absolutely amazing. They couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. The absolute best place to stay on this wonderful island.

+ Great location - fabulous scenery; lovely walks/hiking; great bird watching. Excellent staff and service. - The building is starting to show its age, although still clean and comfortable. Expensive, but island hotels usually are.
