Went for dinner in Twelfth Lock a few days ago and food was very ordinary - shame as it is such a nice location and has a lot of potential. Service was fine but a bit slow. I had the lamb burger which was ok but fairly tasteless. My partner had the pasta vegetarian dish which was bland.

Went for a meal here last weekend with my wife and another couple. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is really fantastic. Very friendly and efficient service. The atmosphere is lovely and the location is perfect. Highly recommended. We will be back.

I went for a meal here a few weeks ago with some friends, our server Donal was brilliant. Very knowledgeable about wine and was able to recommend a lovely bottle. We asked him about the food too and he was able to make many recommendations. My two friends had the curry and it was lovely. I had the steak, the...

Both my wife and I went for an evening meal, hearing that the Twelfth Lock had reopened we walked down and found great changes but one will be missed, the great mural of worker digging the canal. But down to cases. The waiting staff where very nice, making us feel very welcome. The food was good and very filling, We...

Visited this place a few weeks after opening. Food was delicious. Service is a bit slow but it seems like they are still finding their feet. The new decor is great and it will be lovely in the summer with the new terrace

Dropped in to check out the newly renovated restaurant and had a wonderful time. I thought the new decor meshed nicely with the surroundings and enjoyed having a pint outside in the mild weather. Food was fresh and well prepared. The portions were more than generous. Look forward to going back and trying more items on the menu.

I was looking forward to dining in the newly opened 12th Lock as I always enjoyed meals and drinks there. My husband and I ordered the fish and chips from a very limited menu with hugely inflated prices. What we got ...beggars belief !. The batter was dark brown as the fish was burnt to a crisp. There is nothing...

3 of us went to the Canal Café for Bar food. Overall disappointed. Small portions, had to look for staff to take an order, slow service, my food - not great Salt Beef Hash. Beef was tough, sliced potatoes were not quite cooked.
