I arrived at the restaurant at 9.20am. I ordered Eggs Benedict and coffee. Whilst the coffee arrived quickly it was 25 minutes later before the food arrived even though the restaurant was almost empty. Menu suggested I would receive a "toasted muffin and crispy bacon". Muffin tasted like a burger bun, was not toasted and bacon was pale and barely...

I went here for lunch with a friend. It is a really nice looking place and you can sit outside. I had seafood chowder which was nice but a little over priced at nine Euro's. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a nice lunch but nothing spectacular for the prices.

I visited on a sunny Monday evening when the place was busy enough but not packed. I found the service to be quite slow but allowed for the fact that perhaps Monday evenings are quiet and with the sunny evening perhaps didn’t realise how busy it might get. The terrace is fab, good layout of seating with plenty of natural...

Madness. Those are prices for fancy city fine dining; this is 7pm on Friday in the suburbs. The patrons want ordinary food fast at ordinary prices. Find out what you want to be 12th Lock because it's all a bit schizoid at the moment.

We arrived for a an evening meal at the 12th lock, as we entered it looked very promising. Well decorated, pleasant atmosphere and pretty busy, nearly every table taken. This of course automatically set me at ease, assuring me I must be in for a good feeding. Unfortunately I was mislead down a dark road of disappointment, instead of the...

Decided to drop in for brunch as the menu looked good on passing. The food we received was terrible. A tiny omelette (at €12!) with literally nothing else on the plate and the Sausage bap was fine but again with nothing else and a wilted lettuce leaf. We were starving leaving and felt hard done by at those prices! We...

Went to fish restaurant this evening for the first time. We were told they were booked out but they managed to fit us in. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Will definitely go again. Thank you Paul! Susan

Wonderful warm sunny weather on a Friday night can mean a busy restaurant in a prime location and we experienced this on a recent Friday. Management and staff seemed overwelmed and many tables in the restaurant still required cleaning when we arrived. Terraced Garden looked as if about 100 patrons were dinng and having drinks and inside restaurant was busy...
