We stayed in Avalon during August with our 3 kids, it was a fantastic experience we were made very welcome and the kids felt at home there. I would highly recommend Avalon the location the hospitality and the beautiful homemade breads were outstanding.

Top scores in all categories; superb breakfast, spotless housekeeping and hosts who instantly become lifelong friends. Lots of parking, seven minute walk to Glenties, wonderful loop walk nearby. Country setting. Very reasonably priced. Strong internet. Don't hesitate, book your Glenties stay here. Margaret and Michael Mills

We loved our stay with Mary and Hugh at the Avalon. They are extremely welcoming people and very helpful. They cook a breakfast to your specs. Very convenient to Glenties – an easy walk. Glenties itself is a great base from which to tour Donegal. Make sure to check out the fabulous trad music at Glen pub – on the... More

Avalon B&B is a wonderful place to stay. Having arrived you are welcomed by Mary and her husband Hugh with coffee and self-made cake or bread. The rooms are modern and lovely, the breakfast so rich as almost everything is home-made by Mary. There is a 24-hour-service we have not experienced elsewhere. Corina and Thomas from Germany
