A group of 6 cyclists toured Donegal with 8 days of cycling and 3 days of hiking on the cliffs. Our accommodations were all B&B's. On our second last day we encountered every type of Irish weather for the whole 39k's. Although we had excellent rain gear we were soaked with water running off our rain pants into our Gortex... The welcome you get from the bean an ti is wonderful. The house is excellent and very impressive both inside and out. The rooms are all en suite and very spacious with kong size beds. The quality of the food is as good as most 4 star hotels The general ambience is wonderful and much of it is down to the... More

We were traveling with 2 other couples (6 in all). Rosaleen, (owner) showed us into her lovely home and our rooms for the night. We were thrilled with our spacious and beautifully appointed rooms. She had no more than finished her greetings to us when she fell going down the stairs and broke her ankle and had to be taken... More

Thank You so much for your very positive review of Lisdanar.I didn't get to have too much conversation with you all before my horrific fall on the stairs.Worrying about your breakfast took my mind off the pain.Thank God you were so understanding and it was so difficult going to hospital knowing that I had to leave you all behind but... We just returned from a family trip to Donegal County Ireland by bike. It was an amazing vacation and one of the highlights was our stay with Rosaline at her lovely home and B&B in Glenties. The home is pristine - lovely rooms, clean sheets, hard mattresses, warm showers and the owners amazing. Rosie was there to inform, entertain and... More

My nephew and I spent a wonderful night at Rosalyn's Lisdanar House during a week's bike ride across Donegal. Sometimes when I stay at a b&b it's a little uncomfortable because I feel like I am in someone's home - which, indeed, I am. Walls are paper thing, et cetera.... You need to make nice and - at least I... More

A lovely b&b to stay if you're in the area. 5 minutes from town centre. Rosaleen is very helpful, kind and available for help. Breakfast is extraordinary and the icing on the cake was the home made brown bread baked by the 90 year old mom in law. Thanks Rosaleen Martine and Piet

The place was lovely, but the best part about it was the kindness and warmth of the the hostess - and she's a great cook, too! She made us fresh scones on a cold blustery day when we couldn't bike, and even dried our bike clothes!

We stayed for two nights and I wish it had been longer! We had one double room and one twin room for the teenagers. The rooms are large and well equipped with beautiful views of the garden. Rosaleen took the time to care about every experience we had in Glenties and I felt like we were visiting family. Our cooked... More

I stayed with Rosaleen in Lisdanar House last year and I booked early this year to make sure of my room. The Wild Atlantic Way is proving very popular in Ireland and Lisdanar is a good pit stop in Glenties for those wanting to tour around. We went to Sliabh Liag - the drive is spectacular but people on cycle... More

We experienced a range of B&Bs in Donegal during our cycling trips, both in 2011 and in 2015. Most of them are quite good but Lisdanar is outstanding in all aspects: superb hospitality, large super-clean and quite rooms with excellent beds and bathroom en-suite, a wide choice of breakfast options, all fresh and excellent quality food, situated on a short...
