On our visit to Jackson's hotel, there were at least 2 coach loads of visitors, the place was hiving with people which made check-in a nightmare, however when we eventually got our key cards and headed for our room we were absolutely delighted to find that we had been given a suite(maybe a honeymoon room) with a vibrating chair and...

I and my family stayed at the Jackson’s hotel for one night on the Sunday 13th of July. The hotel has a beautiful river and forest walk for those who love long walks, the hotel’s interior was nice with a nice swimming pool and sauna. On arrival we were told that check in was not till 4pm, however the day...

A large hotel with 2 parts, the old original hotel and the modern new extension. On arrival we were met by a busy reception but a very friendly and efficient receptionist. When we arrived at our room it wasn't suitable for 4 of us (2 adults & 2 children). We were moved to the room next door without any hassle...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here and booked for the midweek offer 178 euro for 2 nights with breakfast and a 3 course meal each so the value was excellent. We had our meal in the Bistro and the starters were nice but wasn't too impressed with the main's (mainly the chicken carbonara) but the desert was nice. The beef...

Usually I try to be positive in my reviews but I was very disappointed at the standard of this hotel from the first moment of setting foot in it. To say the place is dated is an understatement, from the gloomy reception to the dark corridors not to mention the 1960's style room. Old flowery wallpaper, dark brown wood, small...

My wife and I have just returned from a 10 week tour of Dubai, Greece, Turkey, Ireland and the U.K. In that time we stayed in a variety of hotels, bed and breakfast places and apartments. When we called in at Jacksons, without having booked anything, we did not expect anything special. What we received was an excellent, friendly reception...

We were a pary of four staying in this hotel for one night on Saturday last July 19th 2014. It was a busy weekend with a wedding party and an Irish Dancing Feis. We arrived at 13.45 and waited an hour for our rooms to be ready. The first impressionon making our way to the bedrooms was the dreadful smell...

I'm local and myself and my family have frequented Jackson's many, many times over the years. We had a family birthday, with family attending from the US and so I phoned to book a table in the restaurant, but NOT the Bistro. I was told that would be fine. I phoned TWO OTHER times , including the day before to...

After experiencing jacksons bistro multiple times last year, as a family of 12, we found it to be perfect! Usually, as such a big family who meet up once a year to enjoy ourselves, we found jacksons the spot to be for a quality family meal in each evening paying up to 200 euro five nights a week. Unfortunately and...
