Reviewed yesterday NEW

Like a lot of locals, we frequented Jackson's Hotel regularly over the years, but in recent times it had lost its shine, to say the least. However, thankfully, the new owners (a local family who also own the nearby Villa Rose) are breathing life back into this once great hotel. The famous lounge/bar has been beautifully and tastefully restored and,...

Not a great hotel , the rooms were clean but badly in need of refurbishment , the staff however were very helpful and friendly , I would only consider returning if there was a complete refurbishment of the rooms

The tour buses roll in and out of this hotel everyday. If you are on a tour, you will be served in the restaurant. If you are there on your own, the restaurant is closed to you. You can eat in the bar which is only pub food, pricey for what it is, and agreed by the three of us...

Great sized bathroom with good shower. Food was excellent (breakfast and a meal in the bar). Had a great night in the...

Beautiful location and views.. comfy bed although I wasn't keen on the pillows. Gorgeous food & friendly staff. I recommend traveling to Glenveagh National Park Co.Donegal when your staying here, worth the drive as the views were amazing. Overall enjoyable and comfortable stay!

We stayed here last year as the hotel down the road, where we usually stay, was fully booked. It wasn't a great experience and when there were no rooms available in the Villa Rose this year, we were hesitant to stay here again. But, what a difference! We had a twin room in the new part, which was huge. Very...

I've been going here for over 20 years. When the bank took over it went down hill. I hoped when villa rose took over it would improve. They have redecorated the main bar and toilets and it is fab. Old part needs revamped. Outer room was very noises (122) we could hear the people above us walking about and using...

Stayed here on Good Friday with my wife and four boys, we were given a huge room at the front of the hotel which was great apart from the creaky floor! Hotel had a movie night for the kids which they loved. The restaurant was nice, all had fish and chips which was tasty as was the breakfast the next...
