My partner and I decided to stay at Kilmahon house while on our trip to Ireland because it looked like a perfect place to relax and get away completely from the noise of the city. And we couldn't be more right! Our hosts Mary and Jeremy were genuinily friendly and provided 5 stars service during all of our stay, always... More

Kilmahon House isn't the cheapest B&B but if you want a treat, a real treat.... then Jeremy & Mary's elegantly comfortable home is perfect. As well as a genuinely warm welcome, you get a beautifully appointed bedroom- in our case with a bed so big we almost needed GPS to find each other! It's not a place for those who... More

We stayed at Kilmahon House and cannot rate it highly enough. Mary and Jeremy were very warm, welcoming and served excellent food. Our room was lovely. The facilities were very good. The breakfast presentation was superb and Mary was kind enough to allow us to take a small goody bag of homemade treats which we shared with our party. The... More

Genuine care and attention from Mary and Jeremy. Wonderful overnight stopover. My partner wasn't feeling well and the couple immediately offered dinner in with a glass of wine. Bedrooms were so comfortable and spacious. A real treasure

What a wonderful couple of days we spent in Shanagarry at the Kilmahon House! Definitely one of the best B&Bs we've ever had the opportunity to visit. The 18th century home has been beautifully and elegantly restored. Loved the fresh flowers everywhere and taking in the view of the gorgeous grounds from every window. Mary and Jeremy thoroughly spoiled us... More

Beautiful room. Lovely lounges. So homely. Mary and Jeromy were the perfect hosts. Managed to get us a table in nearby famous resturant . Mary drove us there and collected us when we were finished. Such a service....then a decanter of port awaited us in the drawing room........perfect.......really fabulous breakfast in the morning....oh I didn't mention really lovely coffee and... More

Four of us recently went to Kilmahon House to celebrate my sister's birthday and we stayed in Kilmahon House (thank you Sheila for finding it!). It is simply beautiful as nice as any French chateau I've stayed in. The owners are fabulous - nothing is too much trouble and everything is done to guarantee the guests' comfort! Afternoon tea is... We had two nights at this awesome accomodation. I have travelled extensively and never have I encountered such hospitality. Mary and Jeremy were the kindest warmest hosts anyone could wish for. They went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. If I were to go back to Ireland this is where I would be staying. Everything was perfect-10out... More

The Irish are renouned for their welcome and Kilmahon house was undoubtedly the model the saying was founded on. Mary and Jermony have created a wonderful oasis and any visitor who has the fortune to stay with them will wonder how they manage it. We normally stay in 5* hotels and yet they create a feeling of welcome and respect... More
