We had the absolute pleasure of getting married here at the beginning of July and to say it was perfection, would be an understatement. From day one, dealing with the staff especially Leila, has been a joy. It made planning our wedding utterly enjoyable. I fell in love with the house and the grainstore immediately, and looked at no other... More

An overnight stay with friends. Staff charming and helpful throughout. Dinner was most enjoyable - food not epic but beautifully prepared. We enjoyed a visit down the road to the gardens and farm. We were slightly perplexed as there were no tea facilities in the room and no mention of room service ( but perhaps we missed this.) Lovely relaxed... More

This was the first time that three of the four of us stayed at the Ballymaloe House. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was very attentive and the house and grounds were impressive. We stayed in the cottages just a few steps from the house and they were comfortable. Overall a great experience and one to remember.

We celebrated our ruby anniversary with some of our family here last week. We were booked for dinner but our family then surprised us by gifting us overnight B&B. Fabulous surprise. Our room was excellent, spacious and very comfortable bed. Bathroom small but functional and nothing left out, face cloths and the little touches. Dinner was gorgeous but alas the... More

Stayed in Ballymaloe for one night with a close friend for an afternoon and evening of chats and catching up. From the moment we arrived we could not have been looked after better. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing but the staff are so professional and welcoming. We enjoyed tea and scones outside in the sunshine before being shown... More

Thank you for the great review. It is very much appreciated. It is nice that you had good weather and were able to enjoy your scones outside! It is good that you found it relaxing and enjoyed Rory's music in the Drawing Room. Next time you come we look forward to serving you one of Fionn's from our bar! More

We have visited Ballymaloe (off and on) for nearly 40 years and whilst it continues to innovate and improve, it retains its old-world attraction. I would recommend the superior room we stayed in (the yellow room) as it has its own terrace opening out onto a lovely lawn. The food is magical, and it was great to see Mrs Allen... More

My most favorite place in Ireland. That is saying something. The people, the grounds, the food and everything about it is just wonderful. We ate like kings while there and slept like them too. My kids loved checking out the grounds and we want to come back soon.

I've wanted to stay at Ballymaloe for many years. This trip, we opted to stay in Cork for a couple of nights and visit Ballymaloe as a day trip, in essence to scout it out and see if we would like to stay next time. What a wonderful day! The morning's steady rain stopped as soon as we arrived, so... More

I was taken here as a birthday present and I absolutely loved the food and the whole experience. I also loved the setting of the house and we relaxed in the conservatory for some time after. It is, however, very expensive and I'm not sure if I would have felt the same level of excitement had I been footing the... More

I booked this a while back because I had eaten in the cookery school a few years back and really enjoyed the whole experience. Darina's book is my bible! So imagine my disappointment when I was shown into a tired dining room and served food which lacked eye appeal and flavour! I myself would not have have served food of... More

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your lunch with us. It is never any problem to serve coffee in the conservatory, so I will talk to all staff about that. We will also look at our lunch menu and rectify any problems. Thank you for bringing these things to our attention. More
