I visited my home county with a friend from out of the country and decided to stay at River Place for an evening and enjoy their opportunities. We planned an early morning kayak trip. The manager, Jeff, was ready to drop us off 5 1/2 miles up the Clinch River into Virginia when we arrived. We enjoyed an incredible float...

My husband, 3 year old son and myself visited the beautiful area yesterday. We had a fantastic lunch, delicious cheeseburgers, homemade fries and refreshing sweet tea. Although the homemade dessert looked awesome, Butterfinger cake, we just couldn't eat another bite. The gift shop and general store is unique. I always purchase a piece of locally handcrafted jewelry while there. Amanda...

My wife, myself and two sons decided to go down to the River Place for a day float. We rented four of the funyaks for a four mile trip. We didn't call the day before but we called the morning of the trip and they were able to accomodate us. We had a beautiful day and caught several smallmouth bass...

We took 25 people floating on the Clinch. Jeff at Riverplace was so helpful getting us ready. After signing permission slips& paying...he loaded us all up with our kayaks, canoe, & funyaks & drove us up the river. He helped us get into the water safely & told us where to get out (at the bridge). We had so much...

They will not allow you to reserve for only one night and this needs to be reflected on the website. The women are not very nice or helpful when trying to reserve. It's like they don't want business. Sorry guys, this will hurt your business incredibly.

my fiancee bought the River Place Groupon for us and we loved it. All meals were included but even if they weren't the restaurant, itself, was very affordable and the quaint grocery store had a good assortment of breakfast/ lunch/ dinner items too. in case you wanted to cook for yourself. The cabins are beautiful with cute accents yet the...

My wife I stayed in the Bear Claw Cottage for a weekend. We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. Fortunately I like rainy weather because it rained a lot of the time we were there. I love the sound of the rain on the tin roof of this cabin. This time of the year there is not much to...

My boyfriend and I stayed for a getaway in early November. We got an awesome deal on Groupon for $160 for 2 nights that included all meals. The cabins were excellent...quaint, private, and VERY CLEAN. The only complaint is that the television is only about 15 inches & was missing pixels. Sounds petty but there was nothing else to do...
