I decided to stay at the Oliver the night I attended an event at the Tennessee Theatre and what a wise choice this was. On arrival, I handed my car keys to the valet, was greeted warmly by Scott at the front desk, and in my room in minutes. After strolling around downtown I dined at Tupelo Honey, went back...

We stay at this hotel about every six to eight weeks. The location on the square is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. Coffee, fresh water with fruit in the lobby awaits your arrival! The Oliver has a very cool bar/speakeasy that specializes in different cocktails The staff at the OLIver are absolutely stellar. Always accommodating and helpful. This...

I felt like I truly discovered a hidden gem with your hotel. The hotel permeated with upscale southern charm, and my room was lacked no comfort or amenity. The PKL and Tupelo Honey Cafe were just topping on the cake.

We stayed here one night last week. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was very nice but not so the view. We couldn't change rooms within our price point that late in the day. I recommend the upper floors with a street view. Hotel bar was also fun.

My mom and I stayed here for three nights on a trip through Kentucky and Tennessee. I read about the hotel on a Design Sponge city guide and was not disappointed by the aesthetics...my favorite parts were the cool wooden nightstands and wooden bowls holding fruit throughout the hotel! Not to mention the very retro and rustic library bar. The...

My wife and I stayed here in early April for my "staycation" birthday. We have often traveled downtown to the Market Square area eating at practically every eatery there. We said we were going to stay at The Oliver one day, and so we did! We stayed in a King Room overlooking Market Square for one night. What a wonderful...

This was our first stay at this smaller hotel and we enjoyed it. The room was appointed nicely. The view of the roof wasn't much. The location is great, we parked and walked everywhere once we arrived.

My niece suggested that I give this hotel a try while in town for Rhythm and Blooms Festival. My room on the second floor was very comfortable and had everything I needed for an enjoyable visit to Knoxville. The Oliver provided Gilchrist & Soames Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner in the shower like you find in some spa's. There is...

The Staff, in particular AJ and Deano, went out of their way to ensure that our stay fantastic - very attentive to our needs, prompt, professional, friendly - they truly take care of their guests. The property is conveniently located adjacent to Market Square and within hiking distance of all of the major attractions. They have two pairs of very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of Knoxville just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Market Square, The Oliver Hotel is an original expression of the city. Originally built in 1876 as the Peter Kern Bakery, the building had hosted everything from the Kern's candy counter and soda fountain to a drugstore, and dancing hall. In 2011, the property was renovated into what is now Knoxville's best boutique hotel with a style that plays tribute to the buildings history, while offering guests rooms with charm, sophistication, and modern amenities.
