We love The Oliver Hotel. This weekend marked my 10th stay (roughly 25-30 nights, in total)... Many of the employees know myself and my husband by name. We totally look forward to arrival and saddened by our checkouts. AJ, Colin, Matt, Martin and countless others at the hotel make each stay well worth the money! The rooms are excellent, Peter... We were lucky to book at the Oliver for a Tennessee football game. Great location in downtown Knoxville close to many restaurants, shopping and campus. King suite was spacious and very quiet. Bathroom was a little dark but roomy as well. Bar was nice and a great mixed drink menu. We look forward to another stay in the future.

All hotel staff very friendly even housekeeping. Wish we could have stayed whole trip, but due to issues with football game and student housing. Oliver Royale resturant outstanding. They have their new Fall menu.

You absolutely cannot beat the location of this hotel, while visiting Knoxville! The rooms are very spacious and beautifully updated. The beds are comfy, the subway tile showers are roomy, and the hotel is probably one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. DO NOT MISS going to the Peter Kern Library Bar in the hotel and witness the... More

If you like quaint and boutique, I highly recommend The Oliver Hotel in Knoxville, TN. It is in a great location with a lot of cute stores. I had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and that was only 8 minutes away. I am already looking forward to my next stay at the Oliver Hotel!

We loved our stay at The Oliver. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is lovely. The location directly on Market Square is ideal. We particularly enjoyed the "Library," which felt like our own secret little speakeasy!

This is such a nice hotel. It is an old building that was refurbished in 2010. The rooms are modern. We stayed in the king suite and it was spacious and comfortable inviting and very relaxing. I really thought that I was more at home and not at a hotel. The hotel is right on market Square in the middle... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of Knoxville just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Market Square, The Oliver Hotel is an original expression of the city. Originally built in 1876 as the Peter Kern Bakery, the building had hosted everything from the Kern's candy counter and soda fountain to a drugstore, and dancing hall. In 2011, the property was renovated into what is now Knoxville's best boutique hotel with a style that plays tribute to the buildings history, while offering guests rooms with charm, sophistication, and modern amenities. The property features the Peter Kern Library Bar, a craft cocktail lounge; Tupelo Honey Cafe, an award winning restaurant; and Oliver Royale Restaurant, featuring a chef driven menu and bar. ... more   less
