I found myself in Knoxville on a budget and this place was a lifesaver. The owner was cool and let me stay but he really wants you to call first. He is the only one working there I guess so make sure TO CALL FIRST or get there during the day, cash only 20$USD and that was a deal. All... More

This is the good surprise of Knoxville. It's clean, the building is pleasant, $20 a night. Most of the time, you'll have the whole dorm for yourself. I add some yada yada here to reach 200 characters.

This is a small, home-style hostel. Brian, the owner is very easy going and accommodating. It's super-casual. No curfew, come and go as you please, lock the door and respect each other. It's close to Greyhound and Old City, about a mile to Market Square. The trolley runs near here. Be aware that Brian isn't always home so call ahead... More

For $18 a night you really can't get much better than this!! Located just over a mile from the Market Street, this is a fantastic little hostel tucked away on a quiet residencial street, with only 12 beds in two gender segregated dorms. Brian the manager was really helpful, fitting me in on the day, and making sure I was... More

Brian was away the weekend we stayed but Al was there and a very helpful host. Didn't hear the interstate at all. If you google street the address it is a bit run down in that neighborhood but it didn't get sketchy for us at any point. It looked like the roof leaked in a couple spots where there are... More

Arrived in knoxville, hostel was locked up, then called the owner on the phone, only to have him tell me the hostel is closed indefinitely, apparently due to some health problems of his. The owner seemed like a super nice guy, and from all the good things I've heard about the place, and about him, its really too bad the... More

Knoxville hostel is one of Knoxville's best kept secrets! It's located just a few blocks from the Old City, Market Square, and Gay Street. Knoxville's hip and happening downtown areas. Al is a wonderful host, as are his staff, and they will take very good care of you. Al welcomes dozens of exchange students on their way to work in... More

The location is close to everything - downtown and the university - but in a quiet, safe area. I parked free on the street right in front of the hostel, I can see my car from the girl's dorm room. There are trendy cafes and nightlife close-by on Central St. The neighborhood is quiet for a good night's sleep and... More
