The Maple Grove Inn website pictures show an historic home, lovingly restored by someone with a real talent for interior decoration and the money to support it. The rooms we reserved, the Magnolia and the Dogwood, looked beautiful on-line. Unfortunately, the renovation is ancient history (early 1990's?) and today the place is in desperate need of a lot of basic... More

We stayed here recently and were very disappointed. The floor of our room had a grit that was not fun to walk on with bare feet. There were cobwebs in/on the decorations close to the floor and no screens on the windows. Breakfast was grits, a bowl of cold scrambled eggs and biscuits. We ended up at McD's as we... More

We were in the spacious, well-furnished Magnolia room in the older part of the building. The "rice" bed was comfortable and beautiful. The bath is shared with a room on the other side, and has a bathtub with a shower head. There is one sink in the bathroom with not much counter space. The water is plenty hot enough though.... More

The decor here is adorable. Tom and Betty have an eye for making the rooms look charming with whimsical touches, and the sheets were extremely high-quality, smooth as silk. We appreciated the permission we were given to poke our heads around in the other rooms, as we (sister, daughter and I) are architecture and history buffs. Tom chatted with us... More

This property was built in 1799! It's 216 years old! I love old houses and historic properties. The host couple (the proprietors) were sweet, caring and nice. Because we were the only ones renting on this day, we were able to see all the other historic rooms. Some bedrooms were twice the square footage of my original apartment - -... More

We spent four nights at the inn, and were well satisfied with our stay. This graceful old property dates back to 1798, and yes, there are signs of age in the structure. We stayed in the oldest part of the inn and the accomodations were clean, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed. We slept very well and were well-cared for. The breakfast... More

We were delightfully surprised to pull down a long driveway graced by aged trees and then to see the elegance of the inn. We were greeted by Tom who was the kindest man one could meet. The inn is gracious and our room was well appointed, The bedding was pristine and the bathroom clean. We really enjoyed our stay and... More

Maple Grove Inn is a hidden jewel in Knoxville. As a B&B fan, I decided that I didn't want the same old franchise grind when going to UT to visit our son. Besides the prices on game day weekend were zooming to $2-300 per night (2 day min). My wife and I discovered the Maple Grove Inn and have become... More

We can tell this was once a beautiful Inn, and although our room was ok, the rest of the Inn is in need of serious renovation. Peeling paint , overgrown gardens, musty rooms. Innkeeper is very nice but needs help. Chose to skip breakfast. Would not commend this Inn at this time. (Having stayed in 50+ Inns, I believe I... More

Having had numerous Christmas parties at this inn, this was the final straw. Tons of bugs in the oak room bathroom, then kicked everyone out at 11:30. What a joke. This is a dump, terrible management. Will never return. Do NOT waste your money.
