Although this historic house is on a major street, it was quiet, comfortable and lovely with thoughtful attention to detail, including a wonderful breakfast and access to the kitchen, refrigerator and microwave during the rest of the day and wonderful "public" space..Appreciated being able to read about the history of the house. The owners and manager were gracious and accommodating..

This was our first time in a B&B as a couple and we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary at Highland Place in early Jan. 2016. It was still decorated for Christmas and was beautiful, stately, and comfortable...that is except for the bed mattress in our room. First, the Positive: very safe, clean, 100+ year old mansion near downtown and a... More

My only complaint was that I wasn't able to bring my husband along. Everything was very nice and well kept. The owners and their dog were very nice and welcoming. The food was delicious and the price for it all was fair. I greatly enjoyed my stay.

After a long, tiring road trip that took much longer than we expected (from Dallas to Jackson), we pulled into the Highland Place B & B. At 2AM, the innkeeper met us and showed us to our room. Beautiful high ceilings, and beds that you just SINK into...the linens and blankets were absolutely blissful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My husband had a meeting in the area, and I went along for the (9-hour each way!) ride - on the condition that we stay at a B & B. The Highland Place did not disappoint! We stayed in the Atrium Room, which wasn't my first choice, but my husband chose it and, well...I have to say I'd choose it... More

Cindy and Bill were excellent host. The house itself is over 100 years old and the furnishing were authentic and interesting. Come hungry for breakfast. Large portions were very tasty. The room was comfy. We'll be back.

I stayed 1 night in April and 1 night in May. I was hoping to continue to stay 1 night a month for several years while I attend school in Jackson. I will not stay here again. The first time I ran out of hot weather. The male owner was rude but his wife made up for it. She is... More

A great place to stay just off Rte 40. A quiet oasis with very comfortable bedrooms, and several large common areas. Cyn and Bill are wonderful hosts, and exude warmth to their guests, and prepare a delicious, plentiful breakfast. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it

We live about an hour away and stayed in the "Louise" room for a romantic night away during Valentine's Day weekend. The room was warm and inviting and nicely decorated. Be warned though, the whirlpool bath is small and probably just a converted regular tub, so nothing really romatic about it. The previous reviews were right and the roms only... More
