We offer Lakeside Lodging, First Rate Boating Facilities, Authentic Dining, Live Music, Retreat Center, and a variety of fun activities to make your stay at Wildwood an unforgettable memory. The Marina at Wildwood is designed with the true boat enthusiasts in mind. Wildwood is the perfect location for a romantic couples retreat, your beautiful lakeside wedding, anniversary, intimate family gatherings, corporate retreat, or anyone who loves water. Let our restaurants awaken your taste buds. Find a private cove in one of our kayaks. Spend an evening and sit beside one of our shoreline fires. Listen to the music. Awake the next morning with a cup of java in hand and notice the rising mist over the lake and perhaps you’ll witness one of the resident bald eagles take flight. Inhale, Let Go, Soak it In. These are the moments that make Wildwood WILD.

My husband and I *LOVED* our stay in the Loretta airstream. Our 2 night/3 day stay was far too short! If you’re looking for a getaway where you can unwind, enjoy the outdoors, experience excellent dining, get out on the water, relax by a fire among other activities, Wildwood is for you! I was incredibly impressed by friendliness and professionalism of the staff! Each and every employee we encountered did a phenomenal job! We were lucky enough to get to experience the singer/songwriter night on Saturday night and it was EXCELLENT! My husband and I enjoy frequent weekend getaways…… Wildwood is now one of our favorites! Thanks John and team for all you do!

My husband and I stayed at Wildwood as a local getaway for our 10th anniversary. The entire experience far surpassed any of my expectations. We did a winter package which included a room at the lodge for two nights, dinner Friday night, breakfast from the cafe Saturday, lunch at the Granville General Store and a ticket to all the attractions there on Saturday, dinner Saturday night an brunch on Sunday. From the moment we arrived everything was about perfect. Every single employee was friendly, helpful and seemed to sincerely enjoy being there. How rare is that? We were in the lodge room Bee 14 ( end room facing the water). It was well worth getting the water front instead of the parking lot view - simply blissful to sit on the porch in the teak rockers and enjoy the view. The room had a king bed, chair, dresser, car with Keurig coffee maker on top; small hanging closet area over the mini refrigerator and spacious bath with walk in shower. Everything was sparking clean and extremely well maintained - like brand new looked like it was never used clean. It was clean in the room. It was clean on the property. It was CLEAN. Frankly, better then many 4 star hotels I’ve stayed at. The property includes a two story lodge, single story lodge, multiple cabins and even Classic and Modern Airstream trailers to rent. I believe they also have two houseboats for rent. The lake is at the confluence of a lake and a river with beautiful rustic scenery - no development along the shore. The resort includes a sizable marina with private docks and pontoon boats for rent. The marina also has a fuel dock. The property has at least 10 fire pits, all stocked with firewood. There is bocci ball and horseshoes to play and the longest boardwalk in the state! The resort shop is very well stocked with creative foods and supplies. The food in the restaurant was fantastic - I would have been happy with “good” and instead it was superior. I had salmon both nights and it was truly one of the best salmon means I’ve ever had. The rooms include top quality linens and towels and luxurious bathrobes. Karen - the manager - was very helpful and took time to talk with us and share the history of the property and the adjacent town of Granville. It was such a wonderful experience in every way. Because I do believe in providing as Baka coed a review as possible, the only things I will point out are that the end rooms of the lodge do get some noise from people walking up the stairs which are located on each end of the building. The room design is fantastic, with ample plugs but the bathroom nard door doesn’t close completely so doesn’t feel completely private - not a problem but something to note. The meal service at the restaurant did run a little slow at times but the food was so good (and we were in no hurry) so it really didn’t matter. They also offered live entertainment both Friday and Saturday night with both artists and the karaoke host being entertaining and enjoyable. I feel the resort is great for couples, families and larger group events. Than you Wildwood for your the superb design, execution and hospitality!! We will be back!!

Very impressed with our weekend stay. The resort has had a complete renovation and is very impressive and the Staff were great. We stayed in a lodge room that was very clean and nicely accommodated with a nice porch and chairs for relaxing in. The food at the restaurant was amazing and service was great. There was live music by Matthew Steven Whitaker. He only has a couple of original songs but we enjoyed the performance. The location is a bit remote but that’s why we liked it. The small town of Granville is a nice place to visit for a couple of hours. Within a 30 minute drive is Burgess Falls Park that has some very impressive falls. We will be back!

Everything about Wildwood was first class and it's such a beautiful place to stay or just eat. I love the variety of different types of sleeping choices! You can stay on a houseboat, in a hotel type room, a tiny house or an airstream camper.

We stayed on the Largemouth house boat. It was very well appointed. I don't recall renting a holiday home that has Cuisinart ceramic knives in the knife drawer. The Keurig machine and complimentary coffees is so much better than traditional "coffee making facilities". You can opt for full room service where they service the room and make beds, opt for towel service only or no service at all. Food quality in the restaurant is good, however not having malt vinegar available to accompany fish and chips was a disappointment, a shame because the cod was very good. I appreciated the Tesla destination chargers, which made day trips in the surrounding countryside possible and we woke up with a fully charged car everyday. Be aware that on Monday and Tuesday the city of Granville and the resort restaurant are closed. The rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen to allow you to prepare your own meals on those days. We weer delighted that the kitchen had a dishwasher as well. WiFi covers most of the resort and grounds, service was available even at the end of the 1/4 mile boardwalk. Speeds were reasonable at 50 mpbs, adequate for remote workers on a retreat.

Jean, thank you for the wonderful rating and detailed review. We are glad to hear that you found our Largemouth houseboat comfortable and that you enjoyed all of the amenities. :-) I have to agree that the cod is delicious and thanks for your input. We will work on getting malt vinegar added to our condiment selections. For anyone reading your review, I just wanted to say that the Holston Cafe' is open 7 days a week and there are several quaint restaurants/libations as well as fast food options that are just a 20-minute drive from Wildwood. Thank you again! We look forward to your return visit. :-) —Sharon R.

We have been to Wildwood in the past on day trips to visit the restaurant. The quality of the meals is really good and unexpected for such a relatively remote location. We stayed n the Lakeside Inn facing the lake. It was a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. I booked dinner for both nights of our stay as well as the Sunday brunch. John definitely brings his Maryland sensibility to the menu and recipes. REAL lump crab crabcakes! Old Bay seasoned fries! Everything we ordered was spot on. Our room was still new and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. It was nice to see so many local young people being given the chance to work in such a friendly, safe, and beautiful facility. We took our binoculars and Audubon Field Guide to North American Birds and observed many species we do not typically see in our neighborhood. (We suggested that the resort keep a bird registry for guests to note the different birds they see while there) We are planning on coming back with our family members to share with them what we experienced while there.

Thank you so much for leaving such a great review! We're continually striving for customer satisfaction and are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. A bird registry is a fantastic idea! There certainly are many different species of birds at Wildwood and it would be neat to learn what birds have been sighted in and around the campus. We hope that you visit us again soon. Have a great day! Sharon R.

Organized Memorial Day weekend for group of 11. From all the planning questions and calls ..to booking pontoons and kayaks ..to arrival ..to support staff ..to food ..to all the wood we could burn for campfire lies and leisure - just superb! And then the airstreams and tiny houses … hence my title - so much fun!

We took the boat out and made the trek to Granville to see what it was all about. We docked with ease and then headed into the restaurant. We were seated almost instantly as we had a party of 8 so i knew it may be a wait and that was fine. It wasn’t maybe 5 minutes and we were seated and ordering. The food was amazing the staff was phenomenal and the atmosphere was magical. Highly recommend this place as we plan on going back as often as we can.

This resort is located in an excellent remote location. However, avoid at all cost staying Sunday through Wednesday as the restaurant and bar are closed. Rooms are spotless and well appointed, Nice view of the Cumberland River/Cordell Hull Lake and the marina. Very expensive at $250 per day as management is looking for high end clientele, Staff is awesome and they will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable, Lots of pluses here and a few minuses...big factor here is the rack rate. Lots of trash in the water around the marina and jetty...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The Lakeside Restaurant has new summer hours and is now open Wednesday-Sunday. :-) The Holston Cafe' is open 7 days a week. Along with the recent heavy spring rains, there has been quite a bit of debris to float downriver, however, the dock staff does work diligently to keep the grounds and the surrounding waterway as beautiful as possible. We hope you find your way back to Wildwood soon. —Sharon R.
