decided to use our points to stay on our way down to Gulf shores AL. The first room they gave us the room was half painted, molding half off, and air conditioner leaking water in a quarter of the room. It was so saturated you could see it. After we decided to switch rooms we noticed an awful smell in the hallway. The second room we were given was much better with one flaw, and that would be a large hole in the drywall by the window. The one good thing about the hotel was the front desk clerk. She was very friendly and understanding with our major issues. But at the end of the day they should close the hotel down when doing a major remodel, and know which rooms not to put people in.
For check in and check out the staff was very friendly and efficient. While everything worked and the place was very clean, the facility was a bit "tired". Just not as new as some. Breakfast very average motel offering, no complaints and nothing special. Motel not expensive, so good value.
Breakfast was very good. Eggs, bacon or sausage links switched out each day, country style hash browns, waffles, and all the other basics. Room was clean (important!). Elevator could use a little work but it operated.
I like it very clean the room, I am very happy with customer service. The bedroom very nice the price is very kind I like it please try is very clean!!! This is my second time here so far in the month of November 2019.
Although this hotel is in a good location and pleasant desk staff, the lack of care and cleanliness cannot be overlooked. The carpets smelled and looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. We mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would clean but by the end of the second day, nothing had been done. Found several ladybugs crawling around the room. Not pleasant.
It was almost a good stay. Internet access was good. It was close to the interstate. If it wasn't for the two bugs I found in my room. One in the bed and one on my neck. There is no way I can get over the bugs
Hotel was in a nice setting among the trees (next to a small graveyard). The interior from the lobby and to the elevator and hallways was dirty. Needed to be vacuumed and the walls were dirty. The guestroom had many issues. Outlets weren't all working, bathtub did not drain, hairdryer did not work, TV was dark and fuzzy, desk chair was broken. bed was hard as a rock. The staff were friendly enough but the place is completely unorganized and in disarray. Not sure if they are undergoing renovation but if that is the case they should at least state that on the site or have signs. The breakfast was gross. Looks like they go to the local Kroger and pick up a few things each morning and set them out. Not sure if all was up to health codes. Ugh!
Hotel undergoing renovation. Rooms are ok, housekeeping could use some work. Despite my many issues with my room Matthew @ the front desk was wonderful. He was very pleasant at check in and very helpful when I had an issue with my room. Matthew came and fixed the issue right away.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have had mostly decent experiences. This past time I stayed, Oct 5th, was not okay. The place is currently dealing with a bug problem. The hallways and windows are lined with bugs on the ceilings. Unsanitary and very noticeable. Also, I'm currently in a walking boot due to a severe lower leg injury. I was placed in a room on the 3rd floor despite the fact that they elevator was not working. Repeatedly I had to trek up and down the steps and it was a major inconvenience. The hotel seen and acknowledged the boot, but there was no offer made to change my room or any other sort of accommodation. The location is okay, but it's getting to the point where the property needs a full renovation and I would really appreciate receiving my Wyndham Rewards points back as a result of the inconvenience and bugs and I experienced during my stay.…
We are normally La Quinta stayers until Wyndham bought them this past year. This trip we are our way to a Family Reunion in North Carolina driving from Texas. 1st night, checking in to this Ramada, night clerk was very helpful and friendly. We don’t need the newest, latest and greatest ... just a clean place to sleep. Our room was nice, with 2 queen beds, oversized mini frig (new looking) and microwave. Everything seemed clean except the desktop was not wiped down and someone had clearly eaten something there and spilled. No overhead light anywhere and one of the lamps did not work. All else looked clean and in order. Breakfast was pretty typical of a free Continental Breakfast ... hot food and choices, again staff in charge of the Breakfast Area didn’t seem to keep up with the house cleaning portion of keeping the tables wiped down after usage and we were in that area before 7:00 a.m. As we were checking out, noticed a sign that read this Ramada was independently operated, Management’s excuse or Wyndham’s. A place can be old and folks can still have a nice clean place to stay.…
