Full disclosure: we have an RV but are full time, live aboard boaters cruising the American Great Loop and took the Tennessee River as a side trip. Blue Water Resort is a must stop for transient boaters on Chickamauga Lake!! Google it and see the remodeled Resort and complete expansion in 2016. Locked and gated docks with keypad code. E covered dock provides 2 transients slips (uncovered) on their face dock, clearly marked from the water and on the deck. All staff members were friendly, polite, kind and helpful. General store (small boat section), very nice and clean restrooms with showers, clean and locked laundry room with 2 washer/2 dryers with a folding table that you rent for $8 for four hours! We ordered from their store a (frozen thin crust) pizza while waiting on laundry, enjoyed it on the covered patio with plenty of tables and chairs/TV/trash cans/cornhole, beautiful landscaping, dock carts etc.all overlooking the river. Walked the fantastic RV (hilly) grounds, all clearly labeled with signage and well maintained landscaping. Staff allowed to use the pool since it was slow season (August) with school back in session. The shallow entry pool area with seating was fantastic, with a covered pavilion, refrigerator, restrooms, multiple tables/chairs/umbrellas, gated and locked with card, member wrist bands, closes at dark, no lifeguard on duty. Blue Water Resort is a gem, not hidden, but a definite place we would highly recommend and return to by land or water. Office 423-775-3265, bluewaterdayton.com, off Chickamauga channel 1/4 mile up on Richland Creek, follow bouys to dock (shallow outside of channel), $1.50/foot. A Marina destination to relax, enjoy nature and connect to life's simple pleasures.

Talk about southern hospitality! This RV park and the staff are top-notch. We just spent 8 days on a family camping vacation and it was one of the best experiences ever. From the time we received our text message telling us our site number until we said our goodbyes, the staff at the park felt like family! It is a wonderfully clean, safe environment with all the accommodations one wouldn't expect...from the pool, to the pond, to the dog park, to the corn hole boards! I haven't even mentioned the beautiful surroundings! THIS PLACE CAN'T BE BEAT! We will be back!

Wow, where to start. We had four couples. One in RV and three in the lodge rooms. The rooms are not only new and tastefully decorated but spotless as well. Very well appointed.

The RV section has three areas and they are all great with concrete pads, full hookups and great value.

Then the staff: Barron, Rachel and Miranda were awesome. They knew us by name after a day or two and truly went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

Great resort, great staff and great fishing. What are you waiting for book your trip now😄

In all honestly, the resort is beautiful, and the pool is great, but the long-term sites are very close together and you pay $600 per month plus electric. In addition, be careful if you sign a lease for a long- term RV site at Blue Water. Barron is no longer the manager there and the new Manager, Nick, told us we had to leave the week before July 4th, and would not give us a reason, after only a month of staying there. We are building a house and had nowhere else to go, especially at that time. Both my husband and I spoke to Nick individually multiple times and he would NOT give us a reason after we begged him to multiple times. When I told him we had a signed lease until November, he said it did not matter because it was private property and that we could sue if we wanted to. To this day, we have not been told why we were told we had to leave. Oh, and he refunded the ENTIRE month of June and didn't have us pay any electric from May 15 until we left on July 5th. We must have done something so bad that they would refund us the entire month! Just warning others as well. The resort, the sweet ladies in the office, and the owners are amazing, but they do not "manage" this place. This guy, Nick, picks and chooses who he wants there and had no remorse or care that we were about to uproot our 8 year old, who had made great friends there after a year of not being around other kids during the Pandemic. Don't get me wrong, we are good now and I truly believe everything happens for a reason, but this was not justifiable or good business at all.

As the title says great location to the lake, the units are extremely clean and the staff is great. Stayed there two times and have not been disappointed. Safe quiet area. You can park your boat at your door and electric is available for charging. Store on site for basic needs. The staff is extremely helpful and will deal with any of your needs. Rachel is the best for guest services. It's well worth the money.

We had the pleasure of staying in the lake house. The house was really clean and well cared for. With amazing views of the water The staff was so helpful answering questions. They brought us extra kitchen towels, bath towels and toliet paper as quick as we asked. The staff is just so amazing and kind. Can't say enough about them. Fishing for croppie worked out well for our fisherman in this off season and we saw the early lights and heard the start of one of the bass tournaments. Before we left It was so amazing and we'll organized. We are planning on returning in May 2021 to stay at the river house. It's beautiful and roomie. Thanks to all at Blue Water Resorts your kindness is much appreciated

My wife, me and my brother-in-law and his lady friend just left there from spending five nights. Our first stay in the Dayton area and we couldn't have been any happier. Blue Water was very restful, kept up beautifully and the rates are super reasonable. The staff are amazingly very friendly and going to great lengths to make our stay very comfortable, which they exceeded in doing. I would give them a higher rating if possible.

Loved this Campground. We had a waterfront site for 5 days by the marina. The site was great and level with a concrete pad. The landscaping that was done to this place was incredible. Huge rocks and boulders were made into walkways and steps down to the waterfront walkway and marina.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
On site boat launch and pontoon rentals. The only downside was that our site was in full sun no shade in July in 95 degrees everyday so we had a really hard time with the a/c.
The pool and Gorgeous Cabins were a bit far across the street so we had to drive there but overall this campground is very well done.
It’s in a very peaceful part of Tennessee so not very touristy however it’s close to big stores and quaint downtown.
We’d definitely come back.

We had driven through this area a couple years ago, and liked what we saw. Just finished up a 3 night visit and had a Great time. The accommodations, a lodge room facing the pool and pond was excellent, and one of the “cleanest” places we have ever stayed. The grounds were also kept up, clean, no trash, mowed and landscaping in great shape. Went fishing one afternoon with a local guide who works out of this resort, Billy Wheat. Great guy and you will have a good time. Good place to bring your camper and boat with you also. This location is very convenient to downtown Dayton, which has some good shops and restaurants.
Staff at this resort are also very informative and helpful. General manager ,Nick was on site and working alongside the staff to make sure our stay was Better than we expected ! Give this place a try , you will not be disappointed!

We came here for a company partial post covid get together where we could be outside and be together. The people here are awesome, we stayed in the cabin standard and duplex lodges and those were awesome too! There is a great pool pavilion area we had a big cookout at, and there is gas fire rings in front of each group of lodges that we spent a lot time in the evenings at. There are golf carts and a mini putt-putt, plus the marina has boats and docks. The general store is well stocked and also has great pizza. Overall we had a wonderful time, this place is just the kind of place to unwind and forget about all of the craziness in the world.
