We had loved every moment of our trip this week until we witnessed a lady fall and get hurt on the steps at the giant slide on the lake. The front staff was alerted and watched as other guests had to help the lady to safety. Not once did an Anchor Down staff member come aid the lady. It took an hour for an ambulance to finally arrive from the onset of the accident. After the accident they didn’t even close the stairs or examine them. Needless to say, my family did not go back on the slide the remainder of our trip. Sad to see such a nice place treat guest so poorly.

Wow, for the first camping trip we sure picked a 100% winner. Cannot say enough about this RV Resort. People were friendly, staff was great and plenty of room. Pool was not open but the beach and marina was great. What a view. Very clean.

Never been here before, not going to be the last. Wow, when they advertise premium, they are not kidding. Asphalt roads, very level decorative concrete pad, built in fireplace and pit. And the view of Lake Douglas, what can you say?

This is an amazing place to stay! This RV park has every accommodation for a wonderful stay and experience. This campground is maintained very well. The bathhouses are super nice. Anchor’s Down has beautiful lake views. The access to the lake, the beach, the water slides, the lake, the pool, and the food truck are super nice and fun amenities. They also have a dog park, basketball and tennis courts. Our family truly enjoys spending time together here annually. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys camping in a beautiful place away from all the hustle and bustle!!!

Our 2nd visit to Anchor Down. Again unbelievable. The beauty of every site is incredible. Not to mention the cleanliness. If you choose a fire place that is a treat in itself. Such amazing stone work. The sites that have fire pits are a treat as well. The staff, whether in the office or riding around the campground via golf cart are so willing to assist in whatever your need should be. The bathhouses are extremely well kept and I would recommend usage to anyone. Landscaping whether in be annual planting or trees, retaining walls, stone work, concrete work on every site is something to see. Such a great place! I ask friends to visit during my stay just to share the beauty. I never realized such a place existed in east TN. Reservations are tough at times but the office staff far exceed expectations to help in accommodating. Thank you to the responsible party or parties which created such a wonderful family fun filled park to enjoy a vacation !!!!!!
