This place is a gem! Our family of 4 stayed overnight on our way to Hilton Head from Ohio. Perfect hosts, excellent room (we stayed in the Thomas Walker annex), and the community in this picturesque town of Cumberland Gap is awesome. We did several hikes that are in walking distance of the Inn. And the the breakfast!!! what a great way to start the morning and the rest of our trip. I would recommend this place 12 out of 10 times to anyone!!!

Cute little place. Lots of history near by. Did not realize the Front Parlor room is on the second floor. Stairs gave me some problems due to personal health issues. We plan to do one of the first floor rooms next time. Breakfast was home cooking and filling. Wi-fi worked good. We cracked our window open in the evening and listened to the creek outside. Very calming. Walls are a little thin, but that is expected with older homes.

No one was on site for check-in. Waited one hour until another visitor let us in so we could get our room key. The breakfast was delicious and filling. Our room was clean. I do not believe we had air conditioning. Finally decided to use ceiling fan which was noisy and wobbled. Overall enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed one night as part of a road trip through the area. We were contacted the day before checking in to confirm and to ask about any dietary requirements. We also received an email explaining how to enter the building if no one was there to receive us. The instructions were clear and we had no problems. We stayed in The Cabin and loved it! It was cozy and warm, and the bed was the most comfortable of our entire trip. The sheets were so soft! We walked around the small town, visited the stone furnace, then found a nice ‘bar & grill-type’ restaurant. They must’ve been understaffed, as they seemed quite overwhelmed by a few parties coming in without reservations, even though there were several open tables. I did only see one (maybe 2) waitresses plus a hostess. We decided to leave and found a small cafe that sold coffee and sandwiches. We took some sandwiches over to the picnic tables by the creek across from the B&B. It was lovely. In our stroll through the neighborhood, we were befriended by a sweet black cat whom we affectionately called Cumby. He followed us around the town and dropped us off at our room, and was there to greet us when we left. He was quite the social character! Breakfast was yummy, check out was easy, and parking was very convenient. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely weekend stay. We received a welcome call the morning of our stay before we arrived going over arrival details and our request for early arrival. They also offered to accommodate my son’s breakfast request as he can be a bit picky. The Sunday morning crew didn’t get the message and he barely ate his Sunday breakfast. But the facilities were so much fun and everyone so nice. We had a lovely stay and will be back for sure.

After a late summer visit to Cumberland Gap, we happened upon this amazing place and did some research; We booked two rooms and timing was the key! They seem booked most weekends in advance. I reserved one for my mother and one for my wife and I, six weeks in advance. My Mother stayed in Nanas Room and we stayed in The Creekside Room, upstairs. Both rooms were amazing and the layouts were warm and cozy! We ordered a charcuterie board and all shared it on Saturday and it was phenomenal ! The breakfasts were a touch of casual and gourmet and we loved them as well! Which is provided daily with the stay and person. The grist meal actually works and was redone and the stream outside our room was serene. We throughly enjoyed the place and staff….Not one complaint here and it would be considered one of the top 5 Bed & Breakfasts that I’ve stayed in over the last 20 years. I highly recommend and will be back… the late fall, great views and cooler nights made it more inviting and cozier! The little town and area have Shops, Lunch, Dinner and a Coffee house to enjoy time here and feel relaxed…. I highly recommend and loved our and stay and the area. The staff was very attentive and helpful: Extreme service was provided for the entire stay. We enjoyed the town, shops and quaint places~

We had an excellent time during our stay. The Inn was the perfect size for our family. We had the entire house to ourselves with a hearty breakfast each day. The staff had everything ready for us and went over the top to make us feel welcome. Rooms were exceptionally clean and stocked with water and snacks. The town is so quaint and just a relaxing place to visit. We will look you up next time we visit the area!

We stayed here October 9th for a night on the way north. A really neat and quaint old mill turned into a B&B. We had a great room, could walk to the restaurant and small town, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was exceptionally clean, the check in touch less and easy, the breakfast great, and we even had a small gift in the room. The owner knows how to make it nice! I'm sure we'll do it again, and stay longer for a chance to hike and sightsee.
