We found this place while looking for a pleasant, reasonably priced Bn'B while dropping our son off for a summer festival at Sewanee. It is a beautiful little boutique inn in the old railroad town of Cowan, just off the mountain from Sewanee on Route 41. We stayed in two different rooms for festival drop-off, and later to pick up... More

This is a beautiful boutique inn run with loving care. However, a vistor's expectations should be consistent with the the physical and economic limitations of the facility. Our stay was just one night and we arrived late due to other commitments in the area. My wife arrived and checked in first. I arrived a bit later and never saw a... More

My husband and I have stayed at this inn 5 times in the past few years. Jarod (the innkeeper) never lets us down. We like it so much that we once bought out all the rooms for Valentine's Day and invited several couples to join us. That night Jared catered a private dinner just for our group. I have been... My husband and I spent a night here during our honeymoon travels. The innkeeper, Jarod, was very nice and cooked us a delicious breakfast. The inn itself was absolutely beautiful and I think this was the cleanest place I have ever stayed at! Next time we will have to plan to stay longer than one night. I would recommend this... More

My husband and I just returned from a two day weekend at The Franklin-Pearson House...wonderful experience! We were welcomed in on Saturday by Jared (the owner) in such a friendly manner AND fresh baked cookies, made for us. We were made to feel right at home. Jared was available for questions if you had any but also left us alone... More

My husband and I traveled to Cowan to do some family research in near by Winchester. I am so glad we stayed at the Franklin Pearson House. Everyone was so very nice and helpful. There is a nice restaurant around the corner and the whole town is quiet and quaint. I wish we lived closer. Pamela Costa

My husband surprised me and my daughter with a Valentine's weekend get-a-way. When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the owner's and immediately felt like we were visiting family. Everyone at the House was very kind. The rooms were immaculate and the entire House was beautifully decorated. The breakfast the following morning was delicious and plentiful. I have... More

I stayed here for 4 nights during May. It was amongst the best B & Bs I have stayed at and I have stayed at many throughout the USA. The room was really lovely and very clean. The large breakfast room was beautifully set with silver and lace. The food was freshly baked each morning. The host Jared was very... More

We initially held our baby shower there in the Cumberland Ballroom. The space is lovely and the food was excellent. The owner made sure we had everything to make the day special. We could not have been more pleased. I would definitely host another event there. Since then, we have stayed at the house three times. Every visit has been... More
