We made a last minute decision to go camping Labor Day weekend. We picked Cosby for the hiking trails that lead out from the campground. Due to Hurricane Hermine we were unsure of the weather conditions we might face, luckily it was not an issue! We arrived around 9 pm Friday night we had studied the campground map before leaving... We spent 2 night here after visiting gatlinburg. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff was friendly. We had a great private site in section B. $14 per night...nice bathrooms...but no showers.. We hiked to the falls....beautiful!....but a pretty steep hike..seemed longer than the 2.4 miles posted... Great weather and time!

We just got back from spending a weekend at the Cosby Campground. There is plenty of spots to camp not too close to each other. We were lucky and put off by ourselves away from other campers. The staff seemed friendly, even when our scouts were bug hunting. The restrooms were very clean of the two I used. There were... More

We camped over the holiday weekend. We have been here numerous times, and although they do reserve certain sites, if you get there early enough, you can get a good space. Very large campground backing up to lots of hiking trails and streams. I don't think the camp completely filled up any night we were there. Close enough to get... More

I decided at the last minute that I wanted to go back to the Smoky's over the 4th of July weekend. I couldn't find ANY campground with availability still, so I searched for campgrounds that had some first-come/first-served sites. While some of the sites at Cosby Campground can be reserved ahead of time, the vast majority of them can't -... More

We camped for 6 nights here. Amazing. We were in love. We drove to all other campgrounds in the actual park and this was our favorite. Although they did not have running showers here it was still amazing for camping and our favorite of all camps in the parks. They are spread out a bit more than others and less... More

This campground is clean, quiet, and beautiful. Not crowded at all, like the Cades Cove area. Right on a beautiful creek. Some nice trails leading right from the campground. The restrooms were nice and clean. My only complaint was a lack of showers.

This was a great campground with almost every spot shaded by mature trees. The trees also helped block out the rain which was helpful. It was quiet and we had no trouble finding a spot during the week. Tent pads were nice. Bathrooms were clean and close to most campsites. You cannot purchase firewood at the campground, so purchase ahead... More

The sites were nice and wooded. We were there in mid May so we saw no one in check in. I am not a fan of no electricity no water etc campground only came here because of the couple we camp with. Everyone in our group loved it.

When we arrived we were greeted by the nicest campground host! Campground B was not open yet so we had to stay in A. We are tent campers and always try to find the spot that is away from everyone and quiet. Our favorite site was A20 but it was already taken so we stayed at A19. The sites are... More
