Had a delightful stay here. It is very clean, friendly, and well maintained. The family which operates the Alpine Inn are the ORIGINAL owners of this former Howard Johnson's. This property keeps desirable original features, yet has been updated with the times. Each room retains its original "pamper panels", bedside switches that control lights around the room with the push...

Thank you so much Edward H! I'm glad you appreciate our "home away from home" here in middle Tennessee. My family has owned and operated this hotel since 1979. We thoroughly enjoy guests that appreciate our history. We hope you come back and see us soon! Cordially, Peter J. Gabriel

Country living at this motel! Two day stay. Friendly staff. Quiet, clean, nice room, good wi fi on first floor. Great check in. This is an updated older motel that has had several sections added to it over the years. Beautiful courtyard with swimming pool. Rooms have rear outside patios/decks in the older sections. All buildings have two floors. There...

Spent two nights in the Alpine Lodge and Suites with my boyfriend and my dog. The room was everything we needed, the pool was amazing, the staff were the sweetest people in the world. The view of the mountains was beautiful. I can't even think of anything bad to say. This family business has done a wonderful job making a...

While planning a July 2016 trip from Memphis to the East Tennessee border - I needed a place to stay just for the night along I-40 East of Nashville. I was fortunate to find Alpine Lodge and booked a room for the night. I arrived at 9 p.m. and was greeted by their friendly staff. The room was clean and...

This hotel is older--not fancy---but clean and very comfortable. The lady at the desk upgraded us to a nice, huge room with kitchen, sofa, two comfy queen beds, table, desk, etc. We did not ask for this---she just did it to be nice. We are impressed. Our room was very comfortable and we appreciated having all the extra room. This room...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I do apologize about the coffee. Sometimes the desk clerk gets behind during a busy breakfast. We normally get lots of compliments on our coffee, and I'm sorry you didn't get that experience. We hope to see you again soon!

Spent a night at the Alpine Lodge and completely enjoyed the time. Cherie at the front desk was fantastic. I called to make the reservation and she was extremely helpful. Room was nice and clean and very quiet. As others have said, not a 5 star hotel, but perfect for what a hotel should be - a nice clean place...

Alpine Lodge was extremely easy to reach from the interstate. It is on the south side if the interstate while everything else is clustered on the north. I was driving a 15' u-haul and appreciated the large parking lot. There is a good Mexican restaurant next door so I could stop driving for the day. Alpine Lodge is an older...

Thank you for the review. I'm glad we could give you a good resting spot. I do have to correct you about the smoking comment though. Smoking is only allowed in designated rooms. No one is allowed to smoke in the hallways or any common areas. Enforcing this, however, is a different story. We've placed cameras in the hallways to...

We went back to front desk and paid for the room and spend the night. The bed was comfortable the room had a refrigerator and there was a...

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was average. The desk clerk also had to take care of the breakfast guests and those who were checking out. She managed both tasks well.

Stayed here while I was in the area to run the Loonies Midnight marathon. The hotel is more on the dated side but was clean (and at least in my room appeared the bathrooms were more updated) and has good WIFI. Thank you for taking the time to write a review of my family's hotel. We did update all the bathrooms in our standard rooms about five years ago. We are an older hotel; so we are always making improvements/renovations. The signs in the hallways do say NO SMOKING. We hope to see you again soon. Cordially, Peter J. Gabriel
